How to get from Orlando to the beach?|151915

I_m 19 and going to Orlando with a friend (also 19). We can_t rent a car and don_t know anybody in the area. Obviously, we_re going to the tourist spots (Disney, Sea World, etc) but we want to fit in a few days at the beach. I know Orlando is far from the beach, so what are easy ways to get to the theme parks and the beach? Is there anything set up for tourists or do we just have to get a cab everywhere?

  • It would cost an arm and a leg to get to a beach by taxi. There are tours to Clearwater Beach, but those are over $50 per person.

I_d recommend going to Typhoon Lagoon in Walt Disney World.

  • There are shuttle services that you and your friend can use, check out these web sites:

Florida_s Space Coast Office of Tourism
Scroll down page and look under Shuttle Services

This SeaWorld park has beaches and a _swim with the dolphins_ area, but it is very expensive:

  • The beach on the ocean?? It is like 75 miles from Orlando. Go to one of the water parks in Orlando.

  • thats a tough one...

taxi to beach would be crazy. probably well over 100 if not more one way.

    if I were you....

just settle for a water park in disney.

  • For beaches close to Disney visit that section at
