How old do you have to be to rent a room on the Jersey Shore?|171426

I_m looking to rent a room on the jersey shore (preferably wildwood) in a couple of weekends and my girlfriend and I are both 20. Does anyone know of any hotels/motels in wildwood where we would be able to rent? Or do you know of any other towns we would be able to rent in?

  • Your success rate on renting a room on the Jersey Shore has more to do with how much money you have to spend than how old you are.

  • you can rent most rooms down the shore at 18 due to prom,
you can hit up seaside too, most of their hotels are 18+
    good luckk
  • How to get to MDT airport in Harrisburg in public transportation/ bus from Washington DC?|155379

I am planning a trip and my flight leaves from MDT airport.
I live in the Washington DC metro area and I am looking for a cheap way to get to the airport in Harrisburg

    Thanks

  • I cannot imagine that there is anywhere you can go to from Harrisburg that you could not go to from either Reagan, Dulles or BWI airports. But to answer you question, you can use either Greyhound Bus or Amtrac.

This is my help from Washington, D.C. United States of America, currently in Pattaya, Thailand.
Please pick an Best Answer, even if it is not mine.

  • Amtrak (

Northeast Regional line from Union Station to Philadelphia 30th St Station, then transfer to the Keystone line to the Harrisburg station. From there you would need to use a Capital Area Transit bus (

or taxi to get to MDT.
  • What are the pros and cons of moving from the United States to somewhere in the U.K?|136272

What are the pros and cons of moving from the United States to somewhere in the U.K? I_m interested in learning more about life in England, particularly Liverpool, and hoping to move there later in life.
    Help Please?

  • Hot accents in the U.K., but they call things by different names.

  • Lauren I_m in the same boat!! Where in the US do you live? I_m in NJ and want to go over to the UK for a bit. I_ve asked tons of questions on here about it to the Brits and the common consensus is that it_s a bad idea for an American to move over .. but I beg to differ! I still want to go!! lol -- I think I am going just for a few weeks first to get a feel for it before I pick everything up and move over .. maybe you should do the same!
  • Does anyone know some really great Alcatraz books?|149753

I recently visited Alcatraz and am now typically obsessed about learning about it and the convicts that lived in it. I_m planning on going to the library today and was wondering if someone had any suggestions. Thank You!

  • Umm..well i have this book called Al Capone Does My Shirts. It_s about a guy who lives at Alcatraz with his sister...that_s all i know.

  • if you want a story that takes place in alkatraz then Alcopone does my shirts is a good one. but it is for very young kiddies.lOL
  • What is the cheapest and best way to ship 6 suitcases in DEC2008 from Sterling VA to Dallas TX?|146972

    Virginia To Texas

  • If you_ve got a 55lb box which is just one of 6 suitcases, I think you should re-consider the option to drive instead of fly. Are you sure that it wouldn_t be cheaper to rent an SUV and load everything into it for the 2-day journey?

  • UPS is your best bet at this point. Just put em in a box, or each in their own box I mean.. gl!
  • How long with it take to drive from Pittsburgh to Brunswick, GA?|147453

My family (son, 3 and daughter, 11 and husband and mother in law) are driving to Disney World so I_m trying to figure out how long (with stops and breaks) this part of our trip is going to take? I already mapquested it to 12 hours but I was hoping to find someone with more detail that_s done this before. We_re planning on leaving at 2 or 3 am so most of us can sleep or try to sleep and hopefully there will be less breaks.

  • It sounds like a fun trip. With the children you will need frequent stops and travel games etc to keep them from getting cranky.Pack treats that are healthy and make sure you have Lysol spray for potty stops and a germicidal hand cleaner too.
I would add at least 4 to 5 more hours to your trip time .
I would suggest staying some where over night before you arrive, you all will be tired and needing a bath after 16 to 17 hours of travel.
That way your first day at DW wont be wasted.
Have a great time with your family and drive carefully

  • Thank you !

    Brunswick or Disney?
Take at least 2 days with a few key stops. Georgia Aquarium is one. Make sure you know where the malls are on route.
  • How is it to live in Los Angeles? Are there a lot of things to do even after work?|180497

I want to know how it is to live in Los Angeles. The city of Angels and the city of entertainment. Is there a lot of funny things you can do? And not just in weekends but after a hard day at work?
And how is the public transportation network? Bus lines, subway etc...
And at last, is the weather good and warm enough in winter to be outside all the time? And especially can you sunbath in your garden even in winter instead of going to the tanning studio or something?

  • It depends on what you are interesting in. The club scene is pretty great, but if you don_t enjoy clubbing than there isn_t much else to do. Great shopping, tons of independent theaters to see obscure films in, and absolutely amazing restaurants, both cheap and expensive.

In winter, the coldest it gets is probably in the high 50s during the day, MAYBE high 40s at night. It_s usually in the 60s in winter. Yes, you can theoretically tan in the winter. Not all the time, but some days are definitely warm enough to lie out, and it_s almost always sunny enough. Days like that are random and few, though.

Public transport is notoriously horrible. You absolutely must, must have a car.

And 1100 in rent? HA! That_s nothing. I_d say expect at least 2000 a month for rent. If you have roommates, you might get away with around 1000 a month, give or take a few hundred.

  • There_s lots of fun things to do in LA but you won_t have time to get to them because you will be too busy working to even enjoy the city (so no point in living there.)

It_s also a VERY EXPENSIVE place to live in! Expect $1100+ /mo. on rent ALONE!

No. You need a car in order to survive in LA.

It_s warm but when you said you can sunbathe in your garden, that_s expecting too much.

LA is a great place to visit, just not a great place to live in if you don_t have a college degree.

  • -There are hundreds of fun things to do, even after work.
-Public transportation is NOT good. It is very inefficient. That_s why everyone drives a car.
-Yes, we have 340 days of sunshine per year. You can sunbathe in your back yard most days if you want, although it may be too cold on some days. You can be outside all winter, though. We eat dinner on the patio during the winter all the time.

  • yeah its great for people who move there
but when you live there its okay =]
dude if you wanna live in LA get yourself a car =]
    the weather?
    well it rains sometimes =]
