What is a good source for keeping up with filming happnening in Boston?|172129

I know more and more movies are being filmed in Boston, and I always hear of people going to see an on-site filming session, or just going for an open casting call or to just see the celebrities.

What is a good source/website or other way to keep up with what is being filmed where?

  • For more information: mafilm.org has an online magazine. Some current filming info included, but primarily a promotional site. The Quincy Film Bureau has a list of South Shore based talent agencies (quincyfilmbureau.com). The jackpot is at newenglandfilm.com, which has current industry information and an active jobs board.

  • Maybe this one. Ben Affleck_s been in my neighborhood all week. Exploding cars, gunfire...

  • Planning a trip for November. What are some warmish places to visit?|171438

I live in New England and am planning on driving. I_d love to go to Florida, but it would take around two days of driving, so I am thinking of maybe Georgia. Any other ideas? I_d like it to be around 70ish. Is Florida really my only option? I know living in New England that weather is hard to approximate, but was looking for just an average. Thanks....

If Georgia would be a good place to visit, where in Georgia? I am planning a week trip.

  • You might want to consider Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. Especially if you_re going in early November. Myrtle can be quite nice that time of year and it_s great b/c there aren_t tons of people. You might want to check with the Myrtle Chamber of Commerce regarding weather conditions that time of year. Their site:

Good luck and have fun. PS: if you go to Georgia you might want to consider St. Simons or Jekyll Islands. Great places with great beaches!
  • Where is A good vacation spot for my friends and I to visit this summer?|161407

Me and 10 of my closest friends (a mix between boys and girls) are all wanting to take a beach vacation this summer. Rent a condo, and just have fun for a week. My family always visits Hilton Head Island every summer, and I enjoy it there. I thought about us all going down there, but am not sure....any ideas of good close vacation spots? I live in Ohio, and would want somewhere not to far to drive.

  • My favorite place is the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It has everything. There is probably 100 miles of beach. You have the popular tourist beaches and then if you like to be away from crowds there is the National Seashore. You_ll find tons of fun stuff to do. If you like excitement there are wave runners available, parasailing available, kayaking, hang gliding.
Check out this web site, you may find it helpful.

  • Since it will be in the summer head to NYC and go to those beaches.

My other option is that you head up to Marquette, Michigan and enjoy the cold, but fun Lake Superior. If you head down county road 550 and drive for 5 to 15 minutes you can park on the side of the road and find a bunch of hidden beaches. Depending on where you live that can be a very long drive.

  • Outer banks, North Carolina has great beaches with warm water. You and you friends can split renting a house there for one week. All the houses have hot tubs, pools, volleyball courts with sand, and you should try to get one close to the beach.
  • What is the best vacation package available for looking at lighthouses in Maine ?|105149

Looking for a travel package to see some lighthouses along the East Coast,in Maine preferably.Bed and Breakfast, log cabin inns or something very romantic.Possibly this will be a honeymoon trip ! She is very much into lighthouses and this would be a great trip for both of us since neither has seen much of the East Coast. Thanks

  • Pick up a map of the Maine coastline. Rent an auto and drive the shoreline as close as possible to the ocean. The lighthouses are on most maps. Be sure to visit Lighthouse Depot in Wells, Maine. We used Orbitz for motels. We have been to 156 lighthouses nationwide, Michigan has the most colorfull ones, good luck and happy climbing the steps, the views are great.

  • MidCoast,Me has Sequin,Pond Island,Dublin point,_ Squirrel Point Light can be seen in Phippsburg/Bath Lighthouse tours. Portland Head Light Cape Elizabeth,Me. Tours are offered to see some light houses around area. Bath.com or Phippsburg.com

  • http://www.google.com/custom?q=lighthouse+Midcoast%2C+Maine_sa.x=22_sa.y=14 this shows you mostly all in area. I couldn_t fit it all in for answers.
