What are the best residential areas for families in and around Minneapolis?|184886

Minneapolis is a city we are considering moving to from CA. We are seeking an area / neighborhoods with good schools (we have a 4 yo), a sense of community and interesting / quaint homes that are affordable. what areas and/or nearby towns should we consider?

  • Edina and Eden Prairie have the best schools in the state. Other good suburbs that are more affordable (although everything in MN is probably more affordable than CA) are Maple Grove, Plymouth, or Apple Valley.

  • Golden Valley
or cities south of MInneapolis are nice too like
    Burnsville
    Apple Valley
    Rosemount
    Farmongton
    Lakeville
    Eagan
    all those cities are nice

  • try the area around st.paul. north oaks is very nice, but pricey.
  • What is it like living in Missoula, Mt, for a family of 3 (me, my husband, and our 17month old)?|158892

We are planning on moving to Missoula at tax time, and were wondering if the people are nice, liberal (we are a hispanic and white couple), and if there are any jobs to be had ( I am a server and bartender). I would appreciate any websites, or other info you could give to help us with our plans to move. Thank you.

  • life is good! u can make t work!
