What is the weather like in the Middle to late part of November in Oahu?|193679

Planning to vacation for a week in November and want it to be enjoyable.

  • I love Oahu!

The temperature in Oahu stays approximately the same throughout the year, averaging seventy to eighty five degrees at any given time. However, wind and rain vary with the seasons, so visitors should be aware of standard weather patterns when planning their trips. It should be noted that the geographic design of Oahu makes it such that weather varies greatly in different parts of the city. As a result, visitors experiencing poor weather conditions in one area of Oahu should spend the day in a different area to avoid the problems. Southwest Oahu is usually warmer and drier than Northeast Oahu.

In general, the summer months in Oahu are considered to be the least rainy and the winter months are considered to be the rainiest. The two biggest weather problems tourists should be aware of are tsunamis and hurricanes. Tsunamis are relatively rare and cant be predicted so visitors cant plan around them. Hurricanes are generally likely to happen between June and November, although they are also relatively rare.

In terms of having to deal with other tourists, the busy season is from December through March, with the last two weeks of December being the prime time during which many people travel to Oahu. Rates are higher during this busy season and trips must be planned far in advance. In contrast, late spring and early fall are the times of the year during which fewer tourists tend to be in the area, decreasing rates in the area. Attractions remain open and fall visitors can experience the Aloha Festivals popular in the area.

  • Typically highs in the mid 70_s, lows in the mid 60_s--with lots of humidity and tradewinds. In Hawaii, everyone usually wears t-shirts, shorts, and slippers (flip-flops) year-round.

    Check weather.com for Nov. averages.

    Have fun!!
  • What type of car is reliable to get to canada from california carrying 4 passengers for a week and a half?|191588

And where can i find a car rental place in southern california that would allow me to rent one to drive to canada?

  • There is nothing really special about that trip, so your question comes down to _what type of car is reliable_.

In general, just about any fairly new car will be reliable over the short run. For quite some time, Japanese cars such as Toyota and Honda have had superiour reliability records, but the American car makers have made great strides. If you have any car that_s less than two years old, you should be fine, and even one that_s got a couple more years than that should be ok, too.

In the end, it comes down to the individual vehicle, and if it_s a private car, a good mechanical checkover should prevent any major problems. With a rental car, if you stick to main routes, they can reach you easily with a replacement in the unlikely event that you do suffer a breakdown. Most rental cars are new or near-new.

It could be a problem to cross the border on a ONE WAY rental (where you_re not returning to the US), but other than that, there should not be any big problem.

I would take a rough guess in the range of $200-300/week for a car that will hold 4 people comfortable.

  • my girlfriend just completed the same trip 2 weeks ago from la to vancouver in a 2005 nissan altima...no problems at all with her car so I can safely recommend a nissan.

  • Any of the major car rental companys. Hertz, Avis, Enterprise.
  • How can I convince my Parents into moving to New York?|104189

I really want to move there but they still thinking and i really need some thing to make them say _ok we are moving to New York_. Please Help Me.

  • Why do YOU want to move there? Tell them your reasons.

  • If they wanted to be in New York, they_d be here. I doubt anything you could say would make them want to move there just because you have a whim to do so. Moving to another state is a big deal especially for a family and if your parents own a home, they probably would not be able to buy one here for what they can get for theirs. Despite the housing slump, homes are still pricey here compared to other states. The cost of living is higher here, they_d have to find jobs in a lousy job market, etc.

Wait until you_re 18 and move yourself.

  • Tell them that there are a lot of opportunities in NYC for you. You have an amazing chance of having a really good profession an making a lot of money.

  • From where ?
Why do you need your parents ?
  • What are the best stretches of quot;Route 66quot; between Missouri amp; Arizona?|127202

I_m planning a trip and would like to get a taste of whats left .

  • In NM, take the I-40 business routes, esp. in Albuquerque (Central Ave.) and Gallup. There_s also a drivable stretch between Laguna and Grants that allows you to see a little more small town.

  • Most of Route 66 is gone. The best preserved area of the road is in Oklahoma. There is also some areas in Arizona. In Oklahoma there is a good stretch between Claremore and Tulsa. As you enter a state, ask the Visitors Bureau to give you a Route 66 map.

  • if u want to stay in any one of the places, choose a best tio hotel to stay in.just go through the following websites u can find some best hotels
  • What is a good beach thats not too crowded?|115081

I_m in san diego for a few weeks and wanted to go to the beach but i want to go somewhere where there_s not a lot of people. any suggestions? anywhere in or close to san diego would be great. Thanks!

  • With the weather being cool and rain on the way I doubt if you would find a crowded beach to begin with. Maybe the parking spaces with views of the water fill up, but that_s just people eating their lunch. They_re not soaking up gray-rays on the sand.

If it gets about 10-15 degrees warmer there might be an increase on the sand in PB, MB or OB. If you consider a few hundred to be a crowd then go just north of La Jolla Shores and Scripps Pier.

  • The beaches are generally not too crowded this time of year. It really depends what you are looking for in a beach. Torrey Pines is nice and you could hike around the Reserve which is right next to the beach. This beach is usually one of the less crowded...especially if you venture around the bend to the area not visable from the road.

  • At this time of year, none are too crowded.

    Here is a beach guide.

If you want to watch the surfers, go to Windansea in La Jolla.

For a large sandy beach go to Misson Beach, Pacific Beach, Coronado, or La Jolla Shores.

  • You should check out the beaches up around La Jolla and Del Mar, they_re usually much quieter than PB, OB and Mission Beach!

  • Carlsbad Beach is hardly ever too crowded.
