What part of the gulf are best to go to in FL for crystal clear water?|110194

for crystal clear water....and what time of year is best to go? spring, and fall? because i usually go on vac. around the 4th of july to florida. But i want to arrive whenever there arent many storms and the water is clear.

  • Try Clearwater beach:-)

  • I think the water is best in the spring or atlest it seems like that to me.

Anna Maria island and Longboat key have some nice clear water, hopefully you don_t go when there is red tide.

  • Appalachacola

  • the gulf, it_s all good.

  • Destin, Florida is beautiful. When you step into the ocean, you can literally see your feet or anywhere in the Flroida Keys. Happy travelling!

My family is from Louisiana and my fiance_s family is all in Chicago, we are having our wedding in Louisiana but I want his family to attend the wedding too. Does anyone know about how much it would cost to rent a charter bus to take 25-30 people from chicago to new orleans?

  • You actually need to check with a bus charter company in Chicago.

    Also check with AmTrak:

  • How can I see all of Disneyland in one day?|175710

Me and 3 brothers (all in our 20_s) are going to California this June and have decided to stop by Disneyland for only one day. We dont really plan on going on much rides, we just want to get a general idea of how the park looks like, but I_ve looked at maps of it and it looks enormous.

What areas of Disneyland do you recommend I avoid, and which areas do you recommend I see? We aren_t bringing any kids with us, and we dont plan on going on much rides.

    Thanks in advance.

  • You can totally do Disneyland in one day with four young men! Have fun, adults really can have a good time too. Here are some specifics that I can give you.
When you enter the park, get on the train and exit in New Orleans Square and visit that part first C Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, and Big Thunder Mountain. This part of the park is my favorite because it is green, has good music, and good restaurants that dont serve just hamburgers. Then visit Adventureland and ride Indiana Jones and Jungle Cruise. Visit the Tiki Room; its an original and gives you a rest. This will lead you to the Hub and the Walt _ Mickey statue. Proceed to Fantasyland and check it out, walk around C no rides. Head towards Its A Small World and Toon Town. Toon Town is good to look at, not much to ride. But you have to go on Small World. Get on the train again (at Toon Town) and exit in Tomorrowland. Ride Space Mountain and Star Tours. This will lead you back to the Hub and Main Street. Stroll down Main Street and check out the shops before you leave. The shows are great! I would definitely not miss Fantasmic and the fireworks. The Golden Horseshoe show is funny and well-done.
Generally C visit one land at a time and avoid zigzagging across the park. Get there at park opening to make the most of your time. Midday is the most busy and crowded; you can take it easy in the midday and do the rides early and late. The fast passes are good; you can use them if you wish. I took 4 Brits there and we had about 4 hours and we were able to do all the big rides in that time. It helped to have a tour guide. Check out Disneylands website, they have the park hours and show times published there. Have a great time!

  • Short and sweet:
    (1) Avoid the _kiddie_ section.
    (2) Don_t come on the weekend.

  • Ah this can be done. I_ve done it many many times. First off, purchase your park tickets once you get there. Buying a 1 day ticket online from Disney will add a processing fee (3 day or longer tickets do not for some reason). Arrive early (check www.disneyland.com for hours) and head back to Toontown (rear of the park), or vear left toward Splash Mountain then work your way around, either clockwise or counterclowise (your choice). So many people just head straight for fantasyland and then work their way around to the back ends of the park. It actually isn_t that large and you should be able to see quite a bit in one day. Take advantage of fast passes, visit on a weekday (if at all possible) and make a dining reservation for dinner. I recommend the Blue Bayou ($20-$30 a person but worth it!). To make a dining reservation, call 714-781-DINE
The Storyteller Cafe at the Grand Californian is also a great dining choice. You guys may also like the ESPN Zone at Downtown Disney. They have amazing buffalo wings!
    Have a great time!

  • You can_t do it all in one day. Why don_t you pick two of your most interesting ones and go with that. Even without riding the rides..it_s still a lot of walking and transferring on the monorails between parks takes time too. You just can_t do it. Instead...just see two of them. Considering you are older, I would do Epcot and MGM or one of those and Magic Kingdom.

  • it_s not that big. you can handle disneyland. it_s definitely a lot of fun when its not crowded with annoying kids.

  • Be there when it first opens. Visit Fantasyland first, because later in the day it becomes impossible to get through the crowds. In June, the park is probably open till 11 or midnight, and usually opens at 9 -- you can do it all in one day.

It looks much larger on a map than it is.

  • It most likely will not happen.

  • You could see the main park easily in 1 day; despite a kid place I love Toon Town. Skip the kid area of fantasy land. Take the monorail or the train around first to get the layout. The most famous rides are the Matterhorn _ the space mountain. The ones in frontier land where you get wet are nice if its hot. There is a restaurant in the Pirates of the Caribbean which is nice _ atmospheric. I also like the Haunted Mansion _ the Indiana Jones ride. Main Street Disney is the area before the park and is free--there are shops, restaurants, clubs etc there.

  • Well there is alot to see. But if u don_t go to all the rides , u can see the whole place.(But they have really long lines). Everything is worth while to see. If u don_t go to much rides, then u should see everything, just get there early.

  • I_ve been there twice and I was able to see everything. I like Space Mountain the best and the Haunted House. It_s all fun. Also, Pirates of the Caribbean.

  • Go early in the morning, and stay until closing. Go early in June before school gets out for the summer and go on a week day, stay away from week-ends. I just did it last week and saw pretty much everything and had so much fun. Why wouldn_t you want to go on rides? Thunder Mountain is really fun, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain and even the dorky Buzz Lightyear was kinda fun. The treehouse and jungle ride. If you are going to Disneyland you need to experience as much as you can.

  • its not as big as it seems
    lol

you should of course ride pirates, the haunted mansion, and space mountain.

but these lines are always really long so you should do this hing called fast pass.

also, stay for the fireworks and the parades.

    :)

    hope this helps

  • Sorry, but you can_t see all of Disneyland in one day! Too many exciting things to see! (expecially with children)
    I wish you could though! : )
  • What hotel will the jonas brothers stay at in tampa florida?|186620

im going to the september 4th concert, and my cousin is going as well but she is staying at a hotle, and i was wondering how i could find out which hotel they are staying at.
    do u know?
btw im not a stalker. i just wanna meet the most amazing ppl in the world!

  • you wanna find out...heres what you should do - figure out WHO they travel with. Who is so close to them that he/she stays at the same hotel. I_m not talking about a parent here.... find out their managers name. Then call expensive Tampa hotels and when the front desk answers, you say __May I have _____s room please__ They_ll either say we don_t have anyone here by that name, and just say oh I_m sorry OR they_ll connect you...and then hang up. Then you know which hotel the band is at.

  • you realize celebs don_t want people that are going to try to talk to them to know where they are staying.

its kept secret to protect their privacy.

nobody knows and nobody will be letting the cat out of the bag so i wouldn_t hold your breath to find out where they will be staying cuz you won_t ever find out.

  • Um you can find out at trackyourfavstars.com but the hotel is the Marriot. But theres many Marriots in tampa so it_s going to be hard to find which one their staying in.

  • Aww, the most amazing people in the world? Well I_m not in Orlando until a few months.

Seriously though, get a life, they don_t broadcast where they are staying.

  • the jonas brothers don_t stay in a hotel. they stay on their tour bus!! and no matter where they are, its all highly secured..impossible to see them.

    have fun at the concert=]

  • That in the language of Hollywood...

    THAT IS a MILITARY SECRET...

    - - - -

  • they stay in a hotel dumbass they just dont want you to know

  • How are the elementary schools in Brookside in Kansas City?|198723

We are looking to move to the Brookside area. I know the KCMO school district has a poor reputation, but does that extend to Brookside elementary schools? I want my children to have a diverse learning experience, and I want to help improve the schools. However, if they are truly incompetent, I cannot sacrifice my child_s education.

Are schools like Border Star Montessori and Bryant Elementary satisfactory? Does anyone have direct experience with them?

And what are some reasonable cost private school options?

  • Try the website below, it has a lot of good information...
  • How safe is it to live in Chinatown, New York these days?|124611

Any streets/areas a single female should avoid? I am half-Chinese and speak some Cantonese, if that makes any difference.

  • It_s gotten better. Alot of the artists that got priced out of SOHO and the Lower East Side have moved to China Town.

  • it_s still safe. back in the 60_s, before all the tong wars, the 5th Precinct had the reputation of being the quietest and safest NYPD precinct. things are a lot noisier now, but i_d say that ber-Chinatown is still one of the safest areas in NYC.

i_m also chinese, and i grew up in Little Italy when it was still Little Italy, but i wouldn_t live there now if you paid me. sure, it has a lot of character, with all the sidewalk vendors of all kinds of foodstuffs and the lingering smell of fish in the air. but almost all the housing stock is already way too old and substandard. of course there are more modern buildings here and there, like Chatham Towers, Chatham Green, Confusion, i mean, Confucius Towers, but the apartments are way too small. and those even more recent overpriced condos have apartments that are even smaller. save living in Chinatown for those who think it_s hip now to do so. but if you want to live there, going by your own description, you_ll fit right in.

as soon as we could we moved out of LI/Chinatown to the Upper East Side, and my folks still live there...

  • It_s just as safe as most of Manhattan. However, it is always full of tourists and does often spell of fish. That_s just part of it_s personality. There_s nothing wrong with Chinatown.

  • No Offense but personally, I wouldn_t live in ChinaTown if it was rent free. It_s crowded, noisey and smelly.

  • Chinatown? Wow I thought that was just the place that tourist shop at, I didn_t even think there were residents but heck, if it_s less expensive than any other area in Manhatten go for it!

  • I agree. Brown eyed girl..i wouldnt live ther even if they paid me too. Its full of fish markets, garbage and too many ppl. The streets in taht area are so dirty.
  • How does someone traveling in a motorhome state to state collect their mail?|109339

I mean if you_re out there traveling for 6 months or so and don_t have a steady home yet to use as a home-based address?

  • I would think you would have to have a PO box somehwere, and check that. Or, have mail forwarded to a friend or relative who you trust to open your mail for you and send you the important stuff.
  • What methods of payment do most motels take?|135521

My new debit card is arriving late in the mail (I had to change accounts), and I am leaving on a road trip tonight. Although I should be able to reach my destination without stopping-I_d like a back up plan. Are there any motels (cheap ones) that accept cash, paypal, or anything other than a debit card?

  • many take cash or a CC even Debit Card.. used them all

  • Most lodging locations take a credit card when checking in and then at checkout. However, everyone takes US cash currency _=just make sure you get a receipt!

    Hope the Above Info Helps!

  • They will take cash, but you have to pay in full when you check in.

  • I_m sure many will take cash. To be sure, you could call in advance and ask. Most prefer debit or credit cards.
