The lake is in Minnesota and it is in Pine River and I want to go on vacation to that lake and I am having trouble finding a resort. If I could have the name of the resort and the web address that would help a ton!!!!

  • What is the best way to travel around the US with about $900 dollars?|117531

I want to travel from the eastern coast (Boston area) out to California. I dont have insurance on my car or else i would just drive around. Ive checked Amtrak and a 15 day pass is like $400 a person. and me and my girlfriend want to travel for a couple weeks. Any ideas?

  • The train is actually a great idea if you have one of those passes where you can get off a couple of times. Since - you can sleep on the train so that will cut down on hotel spending.

However - gotta tell you - if you were my kids I_d say - pick a shorter trip cause you will run out of money wouldn_t it be better to spend 2 weeks not so far away and be able to do more with your money?

  • welll you have to get a job. Thats for sure. I guess you have to take lot of lifts.
  • Best way to pass time in a new city overseas?|115440

What is the best way to pass time in a new city overseas. I_m in chicago and can_t think of many ways to pass time alone.

  • I moved to the USA and the first city I lived in was Chicago, so welcome! It_s a really cool city. I_d suggest spending time wandering around downtown to start with, or find a Borders Bookstore, get a book or magazine and some coffee and settle in, say hi to people and strike up a conversation. If you_re in business, I_d definitely suggest a local Chamber of Commerce new members breakfast, I know that the Chicagoland Chamber invites guests into those breakfasts, you don_t have to be a member, so that_s a good way to introduce yourself to some people. Failing all of that, shop!! It works for me. :)

  • Grab a City Pass and have fun.

    Or visit

to see everything going on in the city.

Also might pay to visit the embassy for whatever country you are coming from. They can suggest things that might include others from your homeland.

    Welcome to Chicago.

  • YOu can_t find anything to do i Chicago??? Have you looked around? There are TONS of things to do, even if you_re alone. Hit the museums, take an architecture tour, stroll along Michigan Ave or the lakefront. Go eat authentic Indian food on Devon or investigate some of those strange little shops in Chinatown. Go to a comedy club (there are tons of them now all over the place). Go hang out in a coffee shop and people watch. Go hang out in Evanston. Go see a play.

Pick up a copy of Time Out Chicago magazine. They have a pretty good listing of EVERYTHING that_s going on in the city. You_re bound to find something.
