Which states are best for people who suffer from severe allergies?|193136

I_m from Massachusetts and 3 seasons a year I suffer from allergies. My doctor told me to leave the state or die.

  • You need the south west. It is a desert like climate there with not a many plants. Could be Southern CA, AZ, NM, Texas or NV. If you pick Southern, CA make sure it is inland and not on the coast where their is more moisture.

Arizona or Nevada might be best for you.

You are just going to have to get used to very hot summers. Be sure and invest in good air conditioning. But during the winter months it will be just gorgeous.

  • Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah are pretty good places for allergy sufferers. Arizona is probably the best, virtually no pollen.
  • Whats the Cheapest way to go from North Carolina to the Grand Canyon?|143187

I don_t mind any method of transportation as long as it doesn_t take more then 48 hours, and it can be bus, train or anything. Is greyhound really the easiest way to go?

  • bike

  • You would have a very hard time driving that in 48 hours so i don_t think that any method of overland transportation is a viable solution to your problem....and you do want viable ?
Your next best solution is to fly from your as yet unknown nearest large airport to either Phoenix -PHX-or Las Vegas -LAS- take a Greyhound bus to Flagstaff AZ and hopefully time it well enough so that you can connect with the twice a day shuttle bus service that runs from Flagstaff to GCNP
If your pressed for time then dress warm and hitchhike up US 180 to SR 64...It should take you_ 3 hours
    Safe trip

  • I would say the quickest would be to drive to Atlanta, providing you_re within 4 or 5 hours and fly out from there. You should be able to find flights that are affordable. Or if you_re interested in a second option would be drive to Birmingham, AL where you can fly Southwest.

You_ll have a shorter drive to ATL but probably a cheaper flight from B_ham.

for the cheapest, you could look at a rideshare option and find a group going that direction and ride with them.
    Good luck!

  • take the greyhound or find a really good deal online by flying and then get a rental car.
  • What are things to do in Guthrie, Oklahoma on a budget of $5 for the whole day?|124464

So I am planning on taking one of my good friends on a mini roadtrip to Guthrie, Oklahoma and I want it to be a really good experience for him and I. Do you know of anything funtertaining to do in Guthrie? The catch is that we are both poor college students and have a budget of about $5. Please help me plan a great afternoon with him!

  • If you are interested in old architecture, just walking downtown is a pleasure. It is probably the best preserved late 19th century commercial district in the country, and is one of only twenty National Historic Landmarks in Oklahoma.

Free museums in Guthrie include, The Santa Fe Depot, which houses the International Model Train and Automobile Museum, State Capital Publishing Museum, the Oklahoma Sports Museum, the National Lighter Museum, the Oklahoma Territorial Museum, and the Oklahoma Frontier Drugstore Museum.

The Masonic Temple cost $2.00 dollars. I would also take a look at the Carnegie Library. The first Governor of Oklahoma was sworn in on its steps.
