How can i survive on my 10 days los Vegas vacation with little money?|119199

i ve already booked my vacation to Vegas before loosing my job.
now i have to pay my bills before and after my trip. what can i do in Vegas to earn money? Im a 24 girl by the way.

  • Ooo I know what you mean, when it rains it pours! My advice is to get a Vegas Perks Pass. This website sells them for $99, _ they let you do EVERYTHING 2 for 1. Good shows (not the cheesy free ones), good restaurants like Benihana, Tony Romas, buffets, etc - even hot air balloon rides. The pass pays for itself before 1 day is through. They have match play blackjack too where you can win double your bets! Here_s a link to the site where I got mine, good luck!

  • This is sad.. I am sorry to hear that you lost your job! Why would you want to go on vacation if you are going to have to look for work?
Is there any way you can cancel your trip and get your moneys back? Maybe it would be best to save your money and re-schedule your vaca at a later date when its better for you!
Unfortanetly- unless you were to stay in your hotel all weekend- everything costs in Vegas and a lot! :( Weather its eating or going out! You could hang by the pool... but if this is a vacation to Vegas you want to be able to go all out and will need to have money! So I would recommend re-scheduling.
    Sorry...Good luck!

  • Have you already booked your hotel? You definitely want to take advantage of all the summer deals out there.. You can find a lot of inexpensive rates at the moment. A lot of the entertainment options, like pool parties and shows, also have discounts for girls. I think you should be fine for a 10 day vacation.

  • You won_t find an opportunity to make money while in Vegas on your vacation. Jobs are scarce.

Not being a buzzkill that_s just how it is.

If you are coming by car I can suggest that you find out about the Hotels policy on using the mini fridge to store food. I do this all the time when I travel but I never take anything or use anything from the mini fridge. Vegas is different some places bill you just for opening it.

And do not use the phones. Again you can get hit with some really high charges just for making a local call.

Eating off the strip is actually not that expensive. You just pick normal places like most people have in their home town. If you can use the mini fridge you can hit a super market and stock up on a few things like yogurt, apples, or whatever you like.

And maybe you can talk a friend into coming along to share expenses.

Worst case scenario you could always contact the company you booked your vacation through and see if they will cancel without fees when you explain your situation.

If they won_t you can call your credit card company and see what they can do for you.

Even if you have to eat a small fee it may be better to do that than come and be miserable and worried.

  • I am afraid nothing legal unless you try dancing at a club. Even then you have to get health card, sheriff_s card and those take time and money. What hotel are you booked at? Do they have a Resort Fee that you have to pay when you arrive? Do you have the deposit needed for your stay? You may not be able to come after all. You can see if your hotel is listed as charging the Resort fee.

You could possibly get by on $30 a day for food if you eat at the fast food restaurants. But as I said there are so many other expenses you have to figure in like how to get from the airport to the hotel.

  • i can think of many illegal things for you to do i will not mention it i am tryin to be a gentleman

there are many free options in vegas also there are a lot of good places to eat cheap

and a small gamblin tip but do not expect it to work all the time

play the big 6 wheel play 1 all the time but you bet $5 you $5 also play red or black at roulette even money bets in vegas can lead you to some money

    and maybe this will help

  • You should first go to all the FREE events that vegas offers. Trust me, vegas has tons of FREE shows @ many of the hotels. Try to Google._Free things to do in Vegas_. Print this info. out.
Next, you need to print out _Cheap Eats_ in vegas, some of the buffets can be a little expensive. If you gamble. Keep it to a min. DON_T over do it. Vegas also offers lots of eating places for little of nothing.... especially FremontStreet. If your room has a fridge, take advantage of it. Your night doesn_t always have to be elegant eating.
Last, if you drink well,,, this is easy, get to a penny machine put about five to ten dollars....Mirage has the best drinks. As long as you look like your playin_ ...you_re all good. Enjoy the pool and sun. Good Luck!!!

  • Gamble just $3 dollars on the MegaBucks Machine and hope to win the next millionaire dollar amount.

BTW payday is by the week for being a temp or a call center employee. Most people recieve paychecks every two weeks.

Need TANF/Booze/Sherrif card to work in the casinos and serve drinks.
Costly! Time consuming. By time thats finish you are heading home.

Hang by the pool! Watch cable tv in your room. Eat at cheap hotdog kiosks. Usually .99 for the hotdog. Play Minium Bets Bingo or KENO!

  • i dont know, it just depends on how much you have. like you can still find fun things to do, but alot of things in vegas can be expensive. so it pretty much depends on how much you have to spend

  • If your room is booked/paid for, then just enjoy the ambiance, the pool, and people watching. Check since you lost your job you might be able to cancel

  • I would save my money and not go because las vegas is the most depressing place in the world if you dont have any cash, stay home!

  • come stay at the las vegas rescuse mission..i know that sounds rock bottom or uncomfortable..but it_s really not..and it_s free.
  • What are the main differences between california and minnesota?|132681

don_t just talk about costs of living and weather bull ****, i can find that out on google.... Talk about culture differences!

  • Here_s a bunch on Minnesota:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minnesota

If you_re talking about nightlife Minneapolis has a great variety, probably nowhere near the kind and amount of nightlife L.A. has though. Hennepin Avenue and Block E will be where you_d find most of it. Minnesota has many world renowned art galleries, restaurants, and extremely beautiful scenery year round.

  • Most parts of SoCal is plagued with alot of gang and drug related shootings and drivebys so a bullet proof vest comes in handy when you_re outside.
  • What are some good simple Universities in Pennsylvania?|130590

I_m not asking about any specific area. I want somewhere safe though. Any good ideas?
Oh and how long do you have to live there before you get residency?

  • Go for the state schools, Bloomsburg, Millersville, California for example most are in smaller towns that are safe and I believe Clarion is one of them. You have to live in PA for a year for residency.

  • One year is typical for establishing residency. I_m not sure what you mean by _simple_. Clarion is a solid state university. Its located about an hour outside of Philadelphia. Its a small university with just 6,700 students.

  • Millersville University

  • i would say Philadelphia city Community College, simplest _college_

  • why? not too smart? i mean you did ask in travel and not higher education after all...
  • Where is a safe place to move that is close to downtown Atlanta?|111085

Now, I_ve lived in the Atlanta area all my life. I_ve lived in stone mountain, lawrenceville, sandy springs, and now currently reside in Marietta. I_m a full time student at GSU, now in my junior year. I_m sick of the commute down 75 every day for school so I_ve decided to rent, with two other girls around my age, into a house downtown.

Now, I don_t want to live in the suburbs anymore, so I_m looking for a safe neighborhood that would be relatively affordable that_s within the city limits. Any suggestions?

  • Grant park area has changed and become more developed. So has summerhill, midtown (may be expensive), some parts of east atlanta, virginia highland area.

  • i went to gsu! i lived in a house in decatur for a while and it was quiet and safe out there. the rest of the time i lived in little 5 points which was fun but not so safe. it was also super convenient because of the marta train station right down the street. i think it was avondale station even though i lived in decatur. and you have the advantage of being near the decatur (dekalb?) farmers market too. the train was great -- gives you a chance for a last minute study session on the way to school.

  • Rent at Atlantic Station. You will have so much in walking distance like Publix and Target and many other shops and restaurants, plus, they provide a shuttle to take you to and from Marta. You would really cut down on driving. If you are splitting the rent 3 ways, you should be able to get a nice place and it won_t cost that much.

  • Inman Park or Candler Park area

  • try looking in the douglas ville area
  • Whats the best honeymoon spot within the continental United States, IN YOUR OPINION?|145195

Here are the areas that are a no go because we want to go somewhere different:

    Tennessee
    Alabama
    Florida
    Georgia
    Mississippi
    North or South Carolina
    and New York

I have been doing some research online, but thought I would get some opinions from real people and maybe research some of those spots as well.
    Please no overcrowded areas.

  • chicago you have the lake the cub or sox and lot of thing to see

  • Would go to Hawaii myself.

  • Dont go to NY...way too crowded! I think I_d like to see NC or SC myself. Lots of golfing, beaches, etc
