What are areas of mesa that i should avoid moving to?|172732

Any specific apartment complexes, streets, that are really dangerous and i should avoid moving to?

  • Basically you want to avoid west and central Mesa, south of University and north of the 60. Pretty much anything east of Gilbert Road is fine. Generally speaking, the further east you go, the better the area, although most of the areas around Dobson Ranch (in southwest Mesa) are fine. Stay away from trailer park areas that do not cater to over 55 crowds or snowbirds in general. Stay away from cheap apartments in the areas I suggested you avoid - some are quite horrible.

  • Anywhere near Main and University... It_s not that bad, but I preferred living in Chandler. As others have said, the farther east you go, the better it is. Just do your research on the crime rates in specific areas.

  • AH MAN! People see a few minorities around and automatically think it_s GHETTO!....LOL

Mesa is nice if you like Diversity. If you like to be around Rich WHITE Snooty people that think they live in Beverly Hills, move to Awatukee.

  • I agree with the last guy Mesa is not dangerous I lived in Mesa for like 5 years ( west of Gilbert rd and north of the 60) I never felt like I was in danger.

  • Umm, all of it, chandler and ahwatukee is close and nicer

  • Move very very northwest...everywhere else is full of gangs! Of if you can, be on the safe side, and move to Scottsdale, Tuscon or Phoenix instead.

  • All of them. Mesa is ghetto
  • How can I get from Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey to Pennsylvania Station in New York City|171665

I am having someone from England landing at the Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey. So if you could be as detailed as possible with your answer on how he could get to the Pennsylvania Station in New York City, I would greatly appreciate it. If at all possible, time duration, costs, and links to websites would help greatly. If you have general travel tips as well, that would be wonderful.

  • After getting off the plane follows the signs to the Airtrain. Take the airtrain to Newark international train station. At the train station take an NJ Transit or Amtrak train to New York Penn Station.

After getting off the train at New York Penn station take the escalators up to the train station. Look for the 7th avenue exit (this exit puts you right in front of Madison Square Garden). This exit is a bit farther away from Amtrak_s main waiting area, but if your visitor arrives at night, the eighth avenue exit could be imtimidating (some unsavory characters at night).

You could meet the Visitor right in front of the Garden.

  • There are NJ transit buses that go from Newark Liberty to Newark_s Penn Station though if your friend has luggage, it would be better to take a cab from the airport to Newark_s Penn Station. From there take an NJ transit train (not PATH...which is nearby) which there are PLENTY, and that goes directly into NY_s Penn Station.

  • taxi will be expensive

  • i think there is a shuttle or bus...check the newark airport website
