What is the rainiest city within Portland, Oregon?|170757

I love the rain and cloudy weather, I really can_t stand the sun. I_m planning on moving to Oregon what_s the rainiest city in Portland or otherwise?

  • Someone else asked this VERY question!!!

  • Portland is a city and it_s quite cloudy and rainy. Seattle is another option. Check weather.com for monthly averages.

  • How much cash do i need for 5 days in vegas?|170066

Im leaving the 27th and staying at the Venetian Hotel. The plan and hotel set me back a good but. What kinda spending money is recommended?

  • Between $100 and $250 per day per person. You might want to read this article for first time visitors. Real informative and helpful.

  • These questions always baffle me because it depends on so many things.

Every person has different tastes, budgets, and lifestyle. Some people may spend 10k over 5 days, and some people could probably get away with 10$ a day. It really depends how much you gamble also, and what you want to do.

A good ball park figure is 100$/day. This is obviously on top of your hotel, flights, and other set costs. 100$ a day can cover food, some light gambling, and maybe transportation and other minor costs.

Outside of gambling, the biggest way people waste money in vegas is by spening too much money on food. The key is to have a big, cheap breakfast. Fill up on a 10$ buffet and you will be good until dinner. And then just by a sandwich or something. Why spend all that extra money on a fancy dinner when you are probably going to be drunk anyway.

  • Well that just depends on what budget you are on. If you want to see some shows, not eat fast food _ gamble I would say atleast $200 a day. If you dont gamble, do 1 show and eat less than $15-$20 a day I would say $100 or a little less than a day. Just depends on what all you have in mind.

  • Probably anywhere from $100-300 per day, depending on how much gambling you plan on doing and what kind of places you want to eat at.

  • I would say at least $200 a day.

Venetian has great restaurants, sites, shopping, and a nice pool.
  • Can anyone suggest a good vacation place for small children?|181164

We are planning a vacation for summer 2010 with our best friends. It will be 4 adults and 3 small children, aged 3 1/2, 2 1/2, and 1 1/2. We live in East Texas and would like to find a place that_s not extremely far away (like Hawaii or Europe) and not extremely expensive.

  • Does anyone know of any quiet spots in NYC to get some work done, and possibly open late?|146865

I go to school in the upper east side, and intend on skipping class to get other work done. Ideally I would go to the MET, and sit in Astor Court but they close at 5:30pm.
    Any other suggestions?

  • Some coffee shops open late:

just take a walk down Warmoesstraat there is lots of coffeeshops that open to 1am sunday--thusday 2am fri -sat

  • Why not go to your local public library? That_s where most people go to get some peace and quiet. Most Manhattan libraries are open until 6-8pm. I_ve included the link to the NYPL hours.

  • hm maybe a starbucks?

  • My basement....

  • Try a Starbucks but avoid going to ones in high tourist areas. :) The ones by the Financial District are open until about 8:30 everyday and most of the time they_re empty since everyone who works in the area is already home.

  • Try a library
