Can you recommend or direct me to Youth Hostels in Illinois?|164890

We are planning to go this summer. We_d like it to be cheap and close to Lake Michigan, Chicago and other sites of interest. Also can you recommend any places to visit? What cross-state travel options are there?

  • There_s a great one in the Loop. It_s part of the Youth Hosteling International group. I_ll look for the name.

    Here_s their link:

This is a great location for exploring Chicago. It_s walking distance to the Art Institute, Millenium Park, the Shedd Aquarium and other science museums along the lake.

  • no i cant find youre own
  • How long do you have to live in arizona to become that states citizen?|130779

I plan on moving to az soon to persue a culinary degree but i dont know how long i have to live there to become an arizona state citizen and go to college.

  • You have to live in the state of Arizona for 90 days to be considered a resident. Which is funny because they give you ten days change your license.

  • I live in AZ and it takes a year to become an instate resident. You have to show them your income tax ( has to be filed in AZ) and an AZ driver_s license to become a resident.

  • For every state it_s At least a year!! U should of learned this in Civics!!

  • I dont know about arizona specifically but normally you have to live in a state for a year before you are a resident.

for college tuition purposes, if you are working full time, you can be considered a resident.

  • I_m assuming you mean a RESIDENT of the state. You are a CITIZEN (providing you_re here legally) of the United States no matter what state you live in.

Once you have established residency (rent an apartment, buy a home, get a drivers license, register your vehicle, etc.), you are a resident of that state. However, to take advantage of certain state funded benefits, a specific amount of time as a resident in that state is usually required in order to qualify for those benefits. As I recall (I used to live in Phoenix), you have to be a resident for 1 year. I believe that_s pretty much the standard for most states.

  • All you need is a permanent address there to be considered a citizen of a state.

  • i plan on going to UAT college in Tempe arizona.....and i thought i could just come from NJ and go to school there now ur saying that i have to be a citizen in a state as welll___WTF? im a citizen of the united states_-----hence states ....dam i hope i dont have to wait a year just to go to a school i really want to go to college in arizona this is going to kill me...

  • I don_t know about arizona... but if its anything like illinois....

I had to spend 8 months here non-stop and have over 50% of my income come from the state for the first year in order to _prove myself_ so to speak...

    its probably similar

  • I dont understand the question ,?if you are a citizen of the usa you are a citizen of whichever state you live in.I think in most states you have 6 months to change your license and car tags.To qualify for welfare maybe you might need to live there for 6 months too,I_m not sure about school?I dont think you have to live in any state for any time to go to school?? never heard of such a thing.
