What is a nice area for a family to live around Lothian, MD?|163784

I may be getting a job in Lothian, and would like some input from locals. I have friends from SoMD, one advised me against Brandywine. Are there any areas I should avoid?

  • If you can afford it, waterfront property is expensive, places near Shady Side on the Chesapeake are quite nice. Annapolis and adjacent parts of Anne Arundel County also have some pleasant residential areas. The easternmost portion of Prince Georges County, near Upper Marlboro, is tolerable as are a number of areas in Charles County., though the latter is a fairly long drive. Prince Georges County inside the Beltway is problematic.

  • my aunt lives in lothian md.
It_s a fine area to raise kids around. It_s basically a sleeply little town. There_s not much inside the actual town. If you want to go to the grocery store, or anything like that. You either have to go to upper marlbourgh (like 5 mins away), or go to dunkirk.

I don_t know how the schools rate, however it you want affordable land, and a decent size yard, then lothian isn_t bad town to just stay in.

If you want to live near the water, Deale or Fairhaven is quite nice.
If you want bigger towns, upper marlbourgh or dunkirk are nice.

  • I do not know a thing about Lothian MD --but --a better choice is EAST LOATHIAN---MID LOTHIAN --WEST LOTHIAN ---In SCOTLAND --you would love them !! beer is better as well !!
