What are the MOST SUITABLE STATES/CITIES TO STUDY IN US?|158489

I_m from Turkey and I_ll be graduated in a few months. I_m planning to study in a grad program about international business in US. What are the most suitable states and cities for grad studies?

Actually, It would be great if you give some school advices too.

  • Reference 1 has a list of good schools.
Being a foreigner is somewhat limited. You have to apply to several schools and see which schools show some interest.
The advantage of going to a school in a big city is that you will have more things to do when you are not studying. You will also feel less homesick in a big city where you might see more Turks and find more Turkish food, etc.
    Good luck.
  • What are some warm vacation spots in US in June?|131240

I live in Michigan and am looking for somewhere warm and within 12 hours driving distance. Love beaches and the outdoors. Vacation is the first week of June.

  • South Carolina! We_ve already had days in the 80_s. We_ve got lots of mountains on one side and the Atlantic ocean on the other. I moved here from Milwaukee about 10 years ago and it_s awesome. It takes me about 13 hours to get from here to Milwaukee so your driving time should be a little better. :)

  • I think Virginia and the DC area are about 12 hours away. I guess it depends on what part of Michigan you_re in. You could also rent a cabin in one of the Ohio state parks, in southern Ohio, like Hocking Hills or Wayne National Forest. Just check the forecast because if it rains a lot things will start to flood. Same goes for West Virginia.

  • I_d like to mount a campaign to encourage people not to go anywhere. Travel has become so expensive and unpleasant that it_s hard to understand why people don_t stay home.
Why are we crowding our highways and airports to get someplace else? Newspapers and magazines are filled with ads trying to get us to travel. They want us to go somewhere - anywhere but home.

  • Destin florida make reservations early , fills up fast.

    anywhere in florida is good

Wished I was going on vacation ....

Yes you_re ready for vacation in michigan

    they_ve brutal winters.

  • Well it may be a little more than 12 hours but the beaches of Northwest Florida.Panama City to Destin -To Fort Walton

  • africa : )

  • Go south.
  • How to book a hottle in Adirondack Park?|129149

I would like to know if it is possible to book a hotel in Adirondack Park. And, if yes, how can I do it? On-line booking with the payment by a credit cart is welcomed.

  • Yes im sure..Just go to their site if they have one and check.

If not, search major hotels for that location online

  • Yes, it_s definitely possible. Just search online for the area in which you want to stay - there are lots of hotels and inns in the Adirondacks, and pretty much all of them use online booking.

    Good luck with your search.
  • What is the best month to visit Alaska and see wildlife particularly bears.?|168520

I know when the salmon run, the bears are plentiful. I_ve been there in August and it was very good. What about early September?

  • We went September 8 - 15 , it was awesome!!

    Bears, moose, and salmon galore!!!

  • when they are not hibernating i would guess

  • As a former resident, the best bear watching is in April.......just don_t mess with them

  • Yesterday. Ur welcome.
  • Is Disneyland busy between Thanksgiving and Christmas?|141271

Our family is planning a vacation to Disneyland and we_d like to be in the park December 12-15 2009 so between Thanksgiving and leaving 10 days before Christmas but we want to know if it_s super crowded during that time. If that is a busy time what time is good for us to go to see the Christmas decorations?? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

  • That_s a great time to go. It_s never a ghost town, but there are optimal times to go to avoid the worst crowds. From the day after Thanksgiving to the week before Christmas is a great time. We went there just this past holiday season then. Very nice, although it did get packed as usual on Saturday night.
The park is decorated beautifully, and they make it snow at night. Haunted Mansion gets a _Nightmare Before Christmas_ makeover that_s really something.
I think you_ll have a great time. I do see that you are planning to be there Saturday-Sunday-Monday-Tuesday. You should be prepared for crowds on the weekend, especially Saturday night, but Monday and Tuesday will likely be excellent in terms of light crowds.

  • I_ve been the first part of December as well as the week after Christmas and both were good times with very low crowds as well as enough Christmas decor to make you wanna hang yourself with some holly lol I would imagine that the dates you_ve listed being right in the middle of Christmas breaks and would be pretty busy. Good luck planning your trip hope you have a wonderful time:)

  • Yep, it_s going to be busy. Like mid-summer busy, especially the 12-13. First week of December is much better.

Christmas decorations are all up on Nov 21, and there_s a huge crush Nov 21-30. Then it_s not so crowded until schools get out. I would avoid the first weekend of December, since that_s the weekend of the Christmas Processional. Town square gets really filled up.

  • For the past few years my family has been going for the Christmas season. And we find the best time to go is the very 1st week of December. It is the least crowded. Any time after that and the crowds get pretty bad. So if you can change it to closer to the beginning of December I would. And definitely go during the week always avoid weekends if at all possible.

  • I believe that it would be for that_s when a lot of people are off school/work.

  • It is quite busy but still worth it.
  • What do you like best about the idea of renting a Vacation Home Rental instead of a Hotel?|139180

I_ve been researching Vacation Rentals and alot of people i_ve talked to Really like the Idea. Whats everybody elses thoughts?
Whats the deciding factor in your decision to rent a vacation home instead of a hotel.
    Thanks

  • We use a timeshare place, with two bedrooms, and a full kitchen. I love to cook, and we travel with another couple. We all have privacy, and there is a great living area for TV when we are too exhausted to go out. Always get a place with lots to do in the area, like Orlando, Daytona Beach, or a place in the mountains. Hotels are too boring, and there isn_t room to spread out.

  • Well I like the idea of vacation rental or time shares because you can take day one and clean it from top to bottom. You can eliminate so many germs that way. Also it can be cheaper depending on the time of year. If it is fully equipped you can also save by cooking your own meals. Not that I would want to cook on my vacation.

  • i too recently starting using only vacation rentals: much more space, kitchen for your own food, usually not much more expensive than a hotel

  • we rented a vacation house at christmas in california. we chose a house instead of hotel so we could cook our own food, have the entire family together in the morning and nights instead of seperate hotel rooms, and we have little kids so they could have more room to play. honestly, for a family trip it was great we spent tim together and relaxed. if it was a quick trip or we had a lot to do everyday(and will be gone alot) a hotel is good, but the house was good to relax on the beach.
