What state in the United States has the friendliest people?|189837

I_m curious what state people think is the friendliest, which one is the worst and why? Basically if you had to pick any state to live in, which one would it be?

  • Maine OR Vermont

  • Well I used to live in Eastern North Carolina...and in my opinion I believe they are very friendly people. Most locals are always willing to point a tourist in the right direction and most people just randomly say Hello and ask how you are.

  • I would definitely say Northern California.

Southern California is probably the snobbiest.

There is a huge divide between the north and south, thats why they want to split cali into 2 or 3 different states.

  • CALIFORNIA!
  • What are some tourist attractions in South Carolina?|179137

I_m taking a weekend trip, and i want to go to one of the Carolinas and I want to no wich one to go to and what are some tourist attractions there.

  • Charleston is full of stuff. There_s Fort Sumter where the first shots of the Civil War were fired. The Battery from which some of those shots were fired as well as a place with a wonderful view of Charleston Harbor. The Yorktown, a WW2 aircraft carrier, as well as the battleships anchored nearby it. The Citadel, one of the oldest military colleges in the country. Downtown is full of old style homes. There are street vendors some of which sell Charleston_s famous handmade baskets and the seafood is some of the best you_ll ever have.
The Myrtle Beach is also fun. As you can guess, plenty of beaches. The Hard Rock amusement park has just opened as well. Murrells Inlet, just south of Myrtle Beach, is world famous for it_s sea food.
Columbia is capital so there_s obviously this like the Capital building. There_s also the state museum with lot_s to see there. There_s also a few theaters that feature both modern and classical drama.
The Upstate, the what we call the northern corner of South Carolina, is full of natural beauty when you get in the mountains. Greenville, the largest city up there, has beautiful downtown district and great places to eat.

Here_s more info if you need it.

Wherever you go have a nice trip.

  • Both have plenty of attractions. It depends on which direction from which you are coming. Both have great seaside attractions. You have Myrtle Beach, S.C. There are a million things to do in that area. In N.C. you have the Outer Banks, below that is the Wilmington area. The Battleship N.C. is there, plenty of beaches too. There are civil war battle fields close by too. A half hour below is Fort Fisher plus the N.C. Aquarium, then a ferry ride over to Southport. I_ve only touched on a few little corners of each state. Just go and have a great time.

  • I hope you LOVE golf for this Union state is a golfers Mecca in the US!

Things you should never miss there...Myrtle Beach, Oconee State Park, and Hilton Head Island.

Sailing, fishing, and mostly outdoor adventures are in store for you in SC.

    Hope this helps.
    Enjoy your weekend in SC!=D

  • Fort sumter is in SC.

But judging from your spelling, you have no idea what that is
  • How are the schools in San Diego, and are there gangs?|189168

We are contemplating a move to San Diego from rural, northern AZ, now that we can afford to. We don_t know anyone though, and I_m concerned about the school system. Which are the sought after school districts? Is there gang activity? We want to give our daughters more opportunities than exist here.

  • good luck.

  • dude you gotta thing out of the box and relize that everywhere you go there IS GOING TO BE A GANG
