How bad is Is October in terms of the weather in Miami and the keys?|157830

I will need to go there for two days, but would like to extend it to a week, however, I_m afraid of the forecasts. Is it really likely to raind everyday?

  • It_s technically still hurricane season, but it isn_t going to be rainy unless we get a hurricane. High season for that part of Florida is Thanksgiving-April, so October is a wonderful time to visit before the tourists all flock and make the traffic miserable.

One of my best road trips ever was flying into Miami and renting a car and going down the Florida Keys. The water is 2 different color blues on each side of the highway and to be in a car with the tunes blaring on this little strip of highway, it was awesome. Key West has the best sunsets in the US.

  • The weather patterns this winder tend you bring less rain and bad weather to Florida and the eastt coast.

    Go and enjoy yourself.

  • October has some of the nicer weather here, not too hot.It may rain but around October, it rains alot less often than in the summer. Hurricane season ends Nov.1 but I wouldn_t worry about it. By the way, if a hurricane is coming, the weather is just about perfect about 2 days before the storm.

In Florida, since it is tropical, it may rain a tiny shower for a couple of minutes and that_s it for the day. Occasionally I_ve seen showers that last less than a minute. The tropics are weird like that.lol

I wouldn_t worry much about hurricanes. Just keep an eye on the weather channel and listen to see if any storms are developing. They develop over by Africa so it takes a long time before it is anywhere near Florida.

If you go to Miami, I recommend staying around the beach. If you do want to leave, Then going somewhere like Coconut Grove _coco walk_ is nice. Also In Coral Gables_ _miracle mile_ is also nice. Coconut Grove and Coral Gables are very small cities within Miami.

The keys..the hot spot is Duval street.

Hope this answered your question. Have fun.

  • No, go have fun, perfect weather. Not crowded with Tourists, rates are low. Have a great time!

  • the weather is absolutely beautiful ....it_s still hurricane season, but your chances are slim for one..it does rain everyday, for about 15 minutes at around 3 or 3:30

  • Warmer than up north (in the 70_s-80_s), but Hurricane season doesn_t end until Nov. (and sometimes the Hurricanes forget it_s over).

  • The rainy season has been here since May. If it rains, it usually blows in and blows out.

  • New York Hotels nearby that include the gym facility in reservation fee?|101384

I will be attending a conference at the Hilton New York, 1335 Avenue of the Americas later this year. I have called the facility and while they do have a work out facility, it_s $15/day to use the facility. I think that_s a little insane considering how much you pay to stay in the hotel to begin with. Does anyone know of any hotels that are nearby this address that don_t charge an exorbitant amount to stay AND who do not charge for using the workout facilities?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Why don_t you just go to the New York Sports Club for $5 a day as a visitor? There_s one at E. 59th and Park Ave and anther at E. 51st and Lex(ington) Ave. I don_t know of many hotels who don_t charge for their gym facilities - especially in Midtown Manhattan. If you aren_t able to find one, keep that in mind and visit their website at nysc.com.

  • The New York Sports Club is connected to the Crowne Plaza Times Square hotel, which was just completely renovated. They charge guests $10 to use the club during peak hours but it is complimentary for hotel guests during off-peak hours. Use of the pool is always free to guests no matter the time.

You also have free use of the Sport Club at any time if you are a gold member of the brand_s Priority Club. The Sports Club features a 50-foot lap pool, steam rooms, saunas, state-of-the-art weight machines and exercise equipment.

About the price, not sure what your budget is but I found an advanced purchase rate for $258.33/night. Also, Crowne Plaza is a ten-minute walk from the Hilton. Hope this helps.
  • Any ideas on which airport and hotel to use for an affordable Las Vegas Bachelorette party?|172247

I am researching for my upcoming Bachelorette party. We are considering April 8-11 of 2010 and I am trying to find the best prices possible for my girls. Any ideas on where to get my flight or which hotels have good deal, websites etc??? Please help I am getting google search overload. Thank you

  • The best way to get a great deal is to book them separately. For flights, check sites like Southwest airlines or US Airways. Also do a search on kayak engine. It will check all airlines going to Vegas and all major travel sites and return the cheapest fare.

For hotels, book directly from the hotels using their discount promo codes to get the maximum discounts. Here are a few codes.

  • There are only two places to look for airline tickets ... Southwest airlines and everywhere else. You will find the same price for the other airlines no matter what site you go to. The reason is they do not discount airline tickets to anyone so they are priced the same. Southwest does not share their ticket sales with anyone and the only way you can book with them is to go to their website.

Hotels are a different situation. Some larger websites can buy blocks of rooms at reduced prices and then they can dicker with the prices they charge. Here is a webpage to help you look for and compare prices so you can compare oranges to oranges and apples to apples.

You have to be careful with hotels that charge resort fees which will make their rooms more expensive than you think they are. Read the Resort Fee Scam page also.

  • Always look for hotel promotional codes that can save you a bundle of money of your hotel room, they also will usually offer free slot play, dining specials, and a ton of other great perks. Do not book airfare and hotel together, typically will not save you any money. I know of a great site that offers a list of hotels and their current promotional offers. Here is a direct link

  • Try out local TV8 which has links www.lasvegasnow.com

  • It might help to tell us what airport you are leaving from.

  • What are the cheapest car rental places in los angeles?|133376

I_m going for a few days soon and would like a car for quite a lot of driving.

  • It_s going to be very expensive for you to rent a car with any agency. There is a heavy surcharge if you are under 24.

The cheapest places are usually non-airport locations. The US has a number of rental agencies including Enterprise, Avis, Budget, Dollar, and Hertz. Try priceline.com and orbitz.com to compare prices.

  • I heard Avis is pretty good
