How long will the lines be at Cedar Point on opening day?|128927

We are! We_re going to go on opening day, which is May 10. Now, we_ve made a tradition out of going on the very last day,and it_s always in the 40_s in October, with a freakishly cold wind blowing in off the lake, but it keeps the crowds down. But we_ve never gone on opening day. Will it be an absolute mad-house? Or will it be dead? Or somewhere in between? And what about the weather? Hopefully in the 50_s? Thanks to all who post!

  • You probably meant to post this in another section, not Chicago.
  • What should I do in New York City for the weekend?|129408

I am planning to go to NYC for a weekend. I have never been there and I want to see the parts that make NYC NYC.

Please don_t advise me to see the empire state bldg or the statue of liberty. Those are obvious.
I want restaurants and hang-out spots.
    Thanx in advance.

    PS-I live in Chicago.

  • A popular way to see the city is by boat. It_s one New York City trip you won_t want to miss, and still my favorite way to get the best idea of the City. This 90 minute twilight harbor cruise gives you a wonderful way to see the city and watch the twinkling lights come on.

Some thingsyou don_t want to miss are the various neighborhoods, like lower Manhattan_s Chinatown, go for authentic dim sum and other Chinese delights. Orchard Street on Sunday mornings especially has always been a delight for shopping and eating bialys and bagels. Artsy Soho with all it_s galleries and the trendy TriBeCa. Of course Greenwich Village and now the East Village as well are always a great place to sightsee.

There are museums, not only The Metropolitan and MOMA, but wonderful smaller ones like the Frick Museum and of course, Frank Lloyd Wright_s masterpiece, The Guggenheim with it_s outstanding modern art collection. You can wander for days in these museums. Art movies have always been the thing in New York, I_m sure you_ll find a running of _The Red Shoes_ still on.

Central Park is always an interesting place to go. Located in the very center of Manhattan surrounded by high-rise buildings. Try jogging around the reservoir (made famous by Jackie Kennedy - who jogged there on regular basis). The Central Park Zoo is fun and carriage rides from Central Park South through and around the Park make for a most romantic evening.

Stroll up or down Fifth Avenue for shops galore, don_t miss going into St. Patrick_s at 50th and Fifth, and the Empire State Building can still thrill.

  • What should we do for a bachelorette weekend in New York City?|126146

The bride-to-be and the maid of honor have never been to NY before. I want to plan some fun and creative things to do over the weekend. Gimme your ideas!

  • Call Me ;)

  • girls, love to shop, go macy_s!
    you can bring them to:
day1: liberty island , empire state building _ times square
(its the weekend, long queue expected)
day2: soho, chinatown, tribeca, central park, MOMA.
since you are only staying there for the weekend, the museums should be optional.
  • How long is the wait in DMV in NYC and when is the best time to go?|104848

Most of my friends say the wait is long in DMV in NYC.

  • go to the one at 34th street and go early in the morning.

  • It_s always a zoo at my local office (southeast Queens on Rockaway) but I find that it moves relatively quickly. Give yourself half a day and as soon as you get there find out exactly what line you need to be on and what paperwork you_ll need to have filled out when you finally make it to the front of the line. If you_re well prepared it shouldn_t be too bad, but expect the worst.

Some things you need to make an appointment for weeks ahead of time. See the DMV website for more info.

  • Not really its better to go in the morning early
  • Where is the cheapest safest Rent or real estate is in Florida?|189179

My company may relocate me to Florida where my region will cover in between Ocala, Orlando, and Sarasota. Where should I live at? Where is the more affordable real estate, and where is some affordable places to rent?

  • ocala cheap.friendly and beautiful you will be like a hour from Daytona, and within 2 hours to orlando , Jacksonville and tampa so this is really your best bet.

  • Hey ned simmons,

You are lucky that your company relocating you to Florida. Florida is such a nice place you will find your choice of property at South Park Circle Orlando, W. Royal Palm Road Downtown Boca Raton. If you are looking for commercial properties like offices, land, warehouse then 96th Avenue Miami, Le Jeune Road Coral Gables, Congress Avenue Delray Beach are pretty good places. Many more information available online.

  • Crystal River. Real Estate prices are pretty good and it is just a really nice area. Dunellon, which is just outside of Ocala, is also a good option. But, I would definitely choose Crystal River or some place in that area.

  • Try wish123. excellent resource. I asked a question about my health and got a nice answer from a doctor. My friend John recommended the website to me.
