How cold will it probably in New York, Boston and Halifax around the first of October?|191424

I am planning to visit these cities in a couple of weeks. Should I pack sweaters and a heavy coat, gloves.... or is it too early?

  • I live in Boston. The weather is mid 60s right now. I_d say it will stay around mid-low 60s, maybe high 50s. Gloves and a coat won_t be necessary, but make sure to pack sweatshirts, light sweaters, maybe a light jacket just incase.

  • You can use the site below to see probable weather in those places. Click on _TripPlanner_...4th word from the right in the 2nd row of words in blue print across the top of the page. Then enter city and dates and click for the info.

  • You should bring a jacket. Daytime temperatures may get as low as the 50s(Farenheit) and nightime into the 30s.
  • What is the name of the bridge that connects you to Clearwater Beach?|113076

We drove from Orlando to Clearwater Beach, FL and went over this long bridge across the water. I was just wondering if anyone knew the name of it. Is it the seven mile bridge because it seemed to be that long?

  • A lot depends upon which highway you took. It sounds like you were on I-275 and that would be the Howard Franklin Bridge, crossing Tampa Bay. If you were on Florida 60, that could have been the Courtney Campbell Causeway across Tampa Bay. Farther West it_s the Memorial Causeway, a much shorter span. This is the very last span taking you to Clearwater Beach. Coming from the South from Sand Key is a very short bridge on SR 699.

  • From Tampa, you would have taken Rt. 60 over the Courtney Campbell Causeway, which isn_t as long as the Howard Franklin or the Gandy Bridges. You would have driven across the city of Clearwater and across the Memorial Causeway, which is much shorter, into the beach area.
  • How much would it cost to live in a hotel?|124655

I_ve heard of celebrities doing it and was wondering what it would cost an average person in an average hotel.

  • ok well depends what kind.
its like around 150 a night. for a aveage hotel.
so a month in a hotel would cost 4,200 a month.
so a year would be 50,400 every year.
in five years living in a hotel it would cost you...
    252,000 dollars!!!!

  • you could probably make an agreement with the hotel and they could discount your rate.
Also motel six or a like priced budget hotel might be an option.
I seriously doubt that celebs actucally pay that money out of pocket if they _live_ in the hotel while on location.

  • the price and run from $50 a night to $20,000 a night.
most celebrities are paying around $5,000-20,000 night
but if *you* plan on living in ahotel and u don have that kinda of money.. u do better gettin apartment

  • first you have to say if its a five star or cheap one star hotel...in a five star..1 month would range between $10,000 to $16,000, 1 star, between $3,000 to $7,000
  • Places of interest in the Northern US states?|123588

I am in the very early stages of planning a road trip to Canada/Alaska and then I would love to see Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana etc. What are the areas/places that an Australian would be interested to see and could anyone recommend an itinerary or a website with possible itineraries. We have been to LA, Las Vegas and The Grand Canyon (which we absolutely loved) on a previous trip.

Also what times of the year would be best?
    Thanks for your time.

  • Crater Lake in Oregon is totally cool to see. And the Columbia River Gorge that runs right in between Washington and Oregon is gorgeous. Multnomah Falls is in the Gorge, it is the tallest waterfall in the US at 620 feet. Visit this web site to find out more...

and here is a site for the Gorge...

This one is for Mt. Hood...

    And Crater Lake...

While you are there you can Visit Mount Hood, the tallest mountain in Oregon. And in Washington you can see Mount Saint Helens. That is cool too.

I am from Washington, If you want more ideas e-mail me and I would be happy to help.

  • Malibu mentioned some great places. (I_ve been to them all!) Don_t forget Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. Mt. Rushmore in South Dakota. Not sure how far east you_d go, but the area between the upper and lower peninsula of Michigan is awesome, with the Soo Locks nearby and Mackinac Island.
Best time of year would be our summer (your winter). Winters are harsh, cold and very snowy.

  • Niagara Falls in Canada and Buffalo NY

  • In Idaho during the summer months you can go on a awesome horse back ride at Sweitzer resort. It is in the town of Sandpoint, just a hour or so from Canada.

  • Hands down you should try some of these road trips here:

  • What are the advantages and disadvantages of living in McHenry County, IL?|125136

I am interested in relocating to McHenry County, IL. I am aware that it is very far from Chicago eventhough it is apart of the Chicagoland area. Some of the places I am interested in included McHenry, Harvard, and Crystal Lake.
My question is, what are the advantages and disadvantages of living in McHenry County and what locations are the best places to live in the county.

  • If you don_t commute into Chgo., McHenry Co is not a bad choice. Metra is a good commute but driving isn_t.

    plus:

clean air, home town atmosphere, good schools and activities...swim, golf, baseball, even skiing...water and snow in nearby Wisc.

    minus:

transportation and routes to other places except along rt 12 _ 14, taxes, narrow minds.

  • Not all of our minds are as narrow as you /he might think, buddy.

Otherwise, tichur is right. And there_s much more to McHenry County than meets the eye.

However, the cost of living is high.

  • It_s very nice there. It used to be quite rural, but it is more and more citified. I don_t know how they could fit one more mall! It is pretty far from Chicago, but most people who live there dislike the city anyway!

  • Well, I live just north of Illinois...and Harvard-yuck, Crystal Lake, big, but I wouldn_t want to live there...
McHenry is starting to grow...clean...I would rather live there out of the three places you have mentioned...In between McHenry and Richmond is a lot of country...many horse farms.. quiet, safe, communities....very nice...
    Good luck in your search...

trying to find the price over the internet and I wonder if there is any cheapest site. If there is any trip package, it will be great too!

  • I can suggest you my booking partner roomsnet.com...I hve booked with them several times and very satisfied about their service and price. They offer loads of benefits for their members. Recently i got 100 by participating in a site contest. I would recommend them highly to anybody.

  • Check out Los Vegas chamber of Commerce, sometimes they will have a package deal.
