What are black out periods in a theme park?|197883

In my last question I asked about the Universal Studios Season Pass and what it has to offer. In an answer someone referred to a black out period when explaining the signifigance of a season/_Power Pass_. If someone could explain a black out period that would be amazing!

  • Black out periods are times when you cannot use your pass to gain admission to the parks. For example, an annual pass is good all year, 365 days per year. The theme parks usually will _black out_ seasonal passes at times like Spring Break, Summer, and Christmas/New Years.

Here is a link to a calendar with the dates for 2009 when you cannot use a power pass.

  • A blackout period is a chunk of days (often holidays and other times when the attractions will be in high demand) where free/discount passes are not honoured.

  • those are days when the park is closed to the general public.
  • What are some of the hot spots to vist while in Hot Springs,AR?|120976

Tourist atrractions, tattoo shops, places to eat out and palces to stay and have aromantic annivesary.

  • If you enjoy racing and gaming you should visit Oaklawn Park if it is in racing season. You can visit lakes, Hamilton, DeGray, Ouachita and/or Catherine for any number of water sports such as skiing, scuba, boating, parasailing, etc. Visit one of the many natural hot spring day spas. For fine dining try The Venetian Room in the Arlington Hotel and Day Spa. The Arlington Hotel is a very nice choice of accomodations as well. Or you might like Chef Pauls to dine. I_ve been to all these places and highly recommend. In the Venetian Room they even have a violinist that wanders the dining room throughout your meal. ENJOY YOUR ANNIVERSARY!

  • What would be a fun thing to do on Oahu for a school field trip for graduation from middle school?|132555

Money isn_t an issue but it has to be something fun. And no beach sorry. We want to plan for something in May btw.

  • ice palace?? a lot of schools go there. I went to kapalama elem. and in 6th grade that was our field trip.

I was gonna say haunama bay but you said no beaches...

dave and busters if you have adults attending the party.

im not sure if they still have this place in waikiki across of red lobster but it was a laser tag place that is fun but its really small.

Or if you can find a paint ball place in hawaii that is open for a big group like yours.

Im from hawaii born and raised been on the island for 23 years its sad enough idk where the good places are anymore..lol

I think hiking is fun like makapuu lighthouse, or even diamond head (minus the tourists).

sea life park would be a fun trip.
The zoo and waikiki aquarium is boring..but if you like that than thats cool too.

There is a race track in kunia but im not sure what it is called and it looks small..I havent been there.

and this one is really fun..

    hope those are good.

  • A few things you could do are:

Ice Palace (ice skating and stuff)
    Hawaiian Waters water park
    Magic Show
    Aquarium
    Polynesian Culture Center Luau
    Bishop Museum
    Iolani Palace
    Diamond Head Hike

I_ve also traveled with Explorica before. They are an educational tour company that could help you out. My trips are mostly history-based, but they could definitely help you plan whatever you want.
