How crowded will Disneyworld be the first week of June?|153008

Its the first week the kids are out of school, and is it brutally hot there ?

  • I went in 07 the first week of June and it was extremely hot so it tired everyone out very quickly. The crowds were heavy and therefore made it even hotter. We enjoy going in September/October. Going in June just ruined the trip.

  • It won_t be brutally hot, but it will be warm... bordering on hot. And, although the schools are out, the very first week of June won_t be as crazy as July or August. But, it will be crowded.

Book your vacation as soon as you know your dates, and make sure if you are going in June that you ask about the promotion that lets you buy 4 nights in the hotels and get 3 nights free. It will save you a few (or more) dollars.

  • well i went june 3-9 in 2007 and it was indeed brutally hot. the average high temps for june is 90 and many days reach higher than that. and the night time low is only around 71. its VERY humid. and rains nearly every afternoon. the showers and storms pass quickly (usually 30-60 minutes) and occur mainly between 3-6pm.

it was also quite crowded when i went. many people were there cuz hollywood stuidos has _star wars weekends_ going on.
and its also quite busy with kids cuz families plan vacations for as soon as kids get out of school and many locals have annual passes and like to go during the summer break.

overall its not the worst time to go as far as weather and crowds but it certainly isn_t the best time either.

  • We went in the beginning of June _07 and it was VERY hot and humid, and crowded. I_m from Arizona and it was horrible. For the first day we were there we headed to the park early and were tired by 11 am. For the remainder of our week there we headed out a little later in the afternoon. We bought a few mister fans and they were a big help. We_re going in March this year.

  • I have found that on the days the park opens early for people. Go to a different park. We went in August. Way too hot. But we found that everyone goes to the park that opens early. Once we did that we had no lines. We even stayed on one ride twice because there wasnt anyone in line.

  • You_re looking at pretty big crowds. Schools in Florida end in mid-May and most locals buy season passes to WDW.

Hope you have a great time!
  • Best place or section to sit at during a usc trojans football game at the coliseum?|162641

what is the best section and row to sit at because im planning to buy season tickets for the upcoming season. and what sections do the away team_s fans sit at, like ucla fans? and how much do individual tickets usually go up to?

  • The best seats would depend on where you want to sit, wouldn_t it? Some people hate the student section while others love it. Some hate the sun in your face, others hate the high seats, etc etc. So it depends on you.

The visiting team_s section is located between the goal post and the tunnel where they come out. This means if you were walking out out of the tunnel, then the visitors would be seated to your left one section over no farther then directly behind the goal post.

General tickets go from about 40 dollars for regular schools to 50-75 dollars for games against teams like UCLA or ND.

I myself do not like the lower seats at the Coliseum. There is to much crap in the way such as people and camera equipment. I prefer to sit all the way up with the pigeons since I am still young and can see well. From up there I have a clear view of the entire game as it happens. Plus the seats cost the same no matter where they are located.

  • The best section is at the 50 yard line, about 10 or 20 rows up. But you_ll never see those in your lifetime. USC tickets are very popular, and you_ll have to start out on the fringes of the end zone.

    Here_s the seating chart:

If you_re a student, they_re not going to seat you on the visitor_s side.
  • Whats the cheapest way to travel to Key West from Miami or Tampa?|140008

My friends and I are taveling to Key West this summer and want know what_s the cheapest and easiest way to get there?

  • If you are going for the day or spending a few days there - you really don_t need a car and taking the boat from Fort Myers - the Key West Express - is relaxing - faster than driving and cheaper than flying (most times)

    http://www.keywestshuttle.com/

call them to make reservations as it_s cheaper that way.

  • The cheapest way if you can get to Miami is to take the bus from Miami. It won_t cost much, and is by far the cheapest way to get to Key West. The whole ride will take about 4 - 5 hours if you make good connections. If you can get from Miami Airport to the Walmart in Homestead you can catch the Keys bus there instead of taking the more expensive bus service from Miami Airport. The Keys bus will take you to Marathon and there you get the Key West bus.

  • What cities in Pennsylvania is safe and family oriented?|153489

I want to move to PA and I want to know what neighborhoods or cities are family-oriented and not too expensive. Somewhere that can accomodate working class families but that is not too far from Philly. I am also looking for a city or neighborhood where the crime rate is low and where there is land t build a home. Does anyone have ideas as to where I could look into?

  • I moved from and have married children living in the Lehigh Valley area (Allentown - Bethlehem) PA. Always found it to be a good place to live, especially Bethlehem, lovely small city, about 1 hour N. of Philly. I also lived in Ambler, Montgomery County, and would consider that area again, just outside Philly.

  • NO PA IS NOT A GOOD STATE TO MOVE TO OUR LAWS SUCK MY SON WAS MURDERED IN JUNE 05 AND THE MAN THAT KILLED HIM GOT OFF ON SELF-DEF WE NEVER WHEN TO COURT HIS CASE WAS CLOSE IN 2 MONTHS IF IT WAS IN A OTHER STATE HE WOULD BE IN JAIL FOR LIFE PLEASE THINK BEFORE YOU MOVE HERE I BEEN HERE FOR 46 YEARS AND HATE IT

  • What are some good spots for late night drink and snacks in las vegas?|150227

I am looking for a place for drinks and snacks, not a night club or loud concert hall (although some live music or deuling piano etc would be ok). Any help would be appreciated.

  • An excellent place that perfectly meets your description is the Peppermill Lounge. It is located across the street from where the Stardust used to be and it is probably the best perserved example of 70s Vegas kitsch that you will ever see.

The place is split in half, the front is a 24 hour restaurant with good food in ridiculously large portions. The back half is the swanky bar that has a sunken fire pit, plenty of velvet and waitresses in full length evening gowns. It is a pretty cool experience and nothing at all like the current rage of over priced _ultra-lounges._

  • the beautiful thing about sin city is that unlike most cities close at some time....vegas does not you can buy beer, food, or anything your heart desires at any hour...most gas stations are open 24 7....there are alot of bars in the casino are open until ungodly hours of the day....the big apple in the new york new york is a great place to go late night....hope this helps...plus the cocktail waitresses will bring u free drinks are long as you are sitting at a table playing no matter what hour

  • try hooters

  • You won_t have a problem finding late night drinks or snacks in Las Vegas at any time, everything is 24/7. Have fun there. it is an amazing place.

  • the Palms is wondeful
    Ellis Island
Most hotels have free caberet and you pay the drink price.
    Have fun on this visit.

  • There is no doubt the one and only best place for a snack
is the Golden Gate they have great food it is all very very good,Great sandwiches ,nachos, and .99 shrimp or crab cocktails. They have a live person playing the piano and a good bar. I have been going to Las Vegas for 20 plus years the first thing we do is go to the golden gate for food before we check in our motel

  • Las Vegas never sleeps and most places are open 24/7, so you have A LOT of choices.
It depends on whether you want to stay on the Strip or not...
All the casinos have a 24-hour cafe, where you can eat and drink at any time, and it_s not crowded or loud. There are also plain bars in the middle of the casino floors - not all of them offer food/snacks, but they are good for a drink. Also, there are dueling piano bars at most casinos, and they_re fun too, but you have to check their schedules. Here_s a few other suggestions:

Mr. Lucky at the Hard Rock
    The Peppermill (
    http://www.peppermilllasvegas.com)

Firefly (3900 Paradise Rd - near Paradise Rd and Flamingo)

    Enjoy~

  • unfortunately live music and duel pianos are all on the strip in the casinos.

myself, I like to hang out with my buddies at bars like , Timbers or PTs Those places I think are cool bar hang outs.
As for entertainment though, they have juke boxes nothing big like a live band etc.
  • What does it take to become a Disney Princess at Disney World in Florida?|163708

I_ve always wanted to be a Princess at Disney World in Florida. Are there guidelines that I have to follow or something? I_ve taken acting classes all throughout high school, and I am willing to take them in college if it means that I can work at Disney World.

  • You will want to attend an official audition. Keep an eye on the audition page for updates. This site is great for any information you want to know about Disney auditions from what to expect, what to bring, what the experience is like, and more.

    http://corporate.disney.go.com/auditions

Disney Princesses are cast into a few different groups. Those who can sing/dance/act and have the ability to portray at least a few characters could be cast as a performing princess. These princesses could be cast for in park performances like parades, stage shows, the beauty and the beast show, and other such things.

Meet and Greet princesses pose for pictures and sign autographs. They don_t necessarily have to be performers. Disney Princesses range in height of 5_4 to 5_7. You don_t have to have the hair color of any particular princess to get cast as her, because every cast member will have a wig. The humidity in Florida is so high, so everyone wears wigs no matter what.

You will also be taught how to do your own makeup, and will do it before every shift by using guidelines. Most cast members are not cast as one particular character, but are cast based on their versatility. They like to be able to tell someone that she is Belle one day and Snow White the next without a problem.

If you think you can do these things, attend an audition and see what happens! They will quickly glance over people and choose those whose faces they think are versatile enough to continue. Auditions can be brutal, from what I have heard. Best of luck to you!

  • First off, you_re going to want to get a job in the Disney College program. That means working a food stand, running a ride, sweeping trash. Whatever it takes to get your foot in the door.

Then, when there is an opening for a princess, you_ll want to make sure to apply and go to the tryouts. The requirements are very demanding, especially in regards to height and weight.

Don_t forget, you_re not the only person who dreams of being a Disney princess, so the competition is going to be very tough.

  • You need to contact Walt Disney World Casting to see when and if there is an open casting call for that role. You will need to audition. Call Walt Disney World Casting at 407-828-1000. Good Luck!
  • What is the policy at San Jose State University regarding cameras during concerts?|137524

I_m going to a concert there tonight and I have a medium-sized digital camera, and I was wondering if it_d be okay to take it in. Thanks to anyone who can help! (:

  • The use of cameras is generally more of a concern for the promoters and artist. This is out of efforts to protect their intellectual property rights and their livelihoods. SJSU would be concerned about the safety of the attendees. Flash photography may have some issues with causing temporary blindness that could lead to injuries.

  • I_m not that sure... but I think you could.
  • Does anyone live in a beautiful small town in Florida and will you tell me about it?|134743
