Is there a shuttle or public transportation from Brookline MA to Manchester New Hampshire airport?|100801

My daughter is a student and I found great prices on air fare flying out of Manchester instead of Logan, but I need to find a way to get her to the airport that does not negate the savings. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  • There is a free shuttle that runs from Manchester airport to Sullivan Square T-station in boston. From there, I think that she could take a cab to brookline or ride the subway or bus. Here is a link to the shuttle service:

  • from brookline you will have to take the green line to haymarket and take the orange line to sullivan square and then take the manchester airport shuttle bus to the airport

  • i would suggest taking a bus(greyhound/peter pan) from south station to manchester
  • What are the rules on going to you boyfriends graduation from the navy at Great Lakes, IL?|124002

In the begining of july i am going to watch my boyfriend graduate from navy boot camp. i was just wondering what the rules where or if anyone had any advice about it who has experienced it. Also i was wondering for those who have experienced it- what are the rules on my boyfriend like when am i gonna see him how long things like that.....and advice or suggestions will be surely appreciated! thanks!

  • He needs to send you an official invitation. You just can_t walk in and watch the proceedings. You will need a picture ID and wear something nice. NO jeans or belly tops! It_s like nothing you_ve ever seen before, all military and proper. You can take pictures but, please don_t yell at him when his Company marches by. Be sure to stand for all the opening and closing ceremonies. This is a solemn and meaningful occasion. He_s starting a career that you will both have an adventure on. After the closing they will break ranks and you can visit with him until he retrieves his sea bag from the barracks. He will have lots of stuff to tote along with his orders, and records in a Large brown envelope. Make sure you put it in the front of the car because it_s now part of his life and will be until he gets out or retires in 20 years. Please excuse his language, we added salt and plenty of it! His vocabulary has taken on some major changes, if he refers to walls as bulkheads and the toilet as the head don_t worry, he knows where they are! Please don_t make extra loud noises as he might just jump up and be half dressed before he remembers that he_s at home. Enjoy your sailor and all the new things he has to offer. Remember, he volunteered and it_s the service that comes first. If you decide to take on the duties as a Navy spouse, you have the toughest job of all, there will be times when things break and he_s out to sea, the children will wonder if he_s ever coming home and the car is on it_s last legs.
Bless you my child, it_s a tough road, in the end, after 20 years, the mortgage gets paid by the government.
  • What are the best theme parks in Florida?|122935

Well i like big rides, rollercoasters stuff like that :)
And what waterparks would you suggest?

And if you have any good website links about the Florida theme parks.

    Thanks x

  • Well definitely Walt Disney World!! :-)
    Also, Universal Studios!

  • It defiantly depends on age. Are you traveling with children because if you are then disney is where you want. Teens and up would better at universal studios and busch gardens. Much better. hope this helps.

  • I have to admit my favorite Florida theme park is Sea World.
I love all the animals and the shows. Feeding the sting rays is my favorite. Plus they have fun rides!

  • Busch Gardens: Shekra is a must, and Montu.
Universal: The Hulk, and Spiderman (Spiderman, not so gut wrenching, but the graphics are great)

  • I agree with Victoria Y- Busch Gardens is amazing. There is wildlife, water rides, and extreme thrill rides aplenty for you to enjoy :)

  • What should we do on a trip to New York City?|109397

My 13-year old daughter and I are going into New York for a weekend in the Spring. We are going to see Shrek and Billy Elliot on Broadway, and we are going to try the frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity 3. What else should we do?

  • I agree with the first poster, with Little Italy, Central Park, ChinaTown, etc.

    Also,
    Central Park Zoo
ESPN Zoo, if either of you are into sports, this IS the place to be! TVs everywhere, GREAT food, and games on the upper floor!!
Toys R_ Us in Times Square
FAO Schwartz, LOVE it there! Go and have fun!
Rockefeller Center and the Top of the Roc
    Empire State Building
Circle Line Boat, you see the whole Island from the boat!
Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty
5th Avenue and all the stores, just walk around
You can also go to one or more of the many Museums
    South Street Seaport
    Food Network Studios!

I hope this helps and that you and your daughter have a GREAT trip!

  • Visit Central Park it is beautiful in the spring, there are lots of people there and so many great activities and street performers and just a good place to take in an eyeful of New Yorkers. (just don_t go at night).
You can get to Central Park by strolling uptown on 5th Avenue where you can also see Rockerfella Center, NBC, ABC studios and Trump Plaza. The Park is right across from The Plaza Hotel.

Check out Times Square at night. Well, you will see it after your Broadway show anyway as that_s where it is.

Go to the East Villiage, Chinatown, Soho and Little Italy. That is a lot of walking but it is all downtown (below the 30_s- The streets go in a grid by numbers so it_s easy to navigate). There are a lot of artists, cool boutiques, restraunts and culture in those areas. Plus you can shop on Canal Street and get some wonderful deals.

Perhaps visit Ground Zero to pay respects.

If you want to go really fancy meal try La Cirque restraunt- make reservations ahead of time.
There is a restraunt called Elaines that is on the East side. It_s just a hole in the wall but for some reason celebrities seem to hang out there, especially after Broadway shows.

Get your nails done as it is very inexpensive for a mani/pedi in NYC and they are every 5 ft. it seems.

Empire State Building on East 33rd.

    Well, HAVE FUN!

  • I went to NYC with my friends for one day and here_s what we did:

-checked out the TODAY show at 7am
-toured _the top of the rock_ at NBC studios
    -rode the subway
-got tickets for _Hairspray_ at the TKTS stand (reeeally fun show)
-shopped in Chinatown (people come up and try to sell you knockoff purses... we went with one into a back room of a little store and it was kind of creepy at first but they don_t try to hurt you or anything so i would try it out!)
    -rode in taxis
    -ate a hot dog!
-ate NYC pizza! (don_t go to a restaurant you can go to at home)
-walked up and down 5th avenue (but we didn_t buy anything because it was really expensive)
-shop in FAO Schwartz (she might like that)

...and that was just one day!

  • Empire state building.
Little Italy, Great food on Mulberry St.
China Town is great for shopping on Canal St.
    Time Square.
    Central Park Zoo.
    Central Park.
Statue of Liberty and Elis Island Tour.
Liberty Science Center. Take the Ferry.
Boat Tour of the City. Good Pictures
Museum of Natural History. The movie _Night at the Museum_ Ben Stiller.
    Good Morning America.
    Sooo so much to do.

WARNING: Do Not Eat At Any Stands.

  • Go to time square during the night and go into all the stores. You_ll be surprised when you walk into the toy_s R us or the M and M store. Also try a hot dog from one of the street vendors.
