What is a centrally located, fairly priced hotel in Vegas?|162224

I_ve never been and will be staying for a couple nights this month. I have no idea where to book a reservation.

  • I would suggest Excalibur for your first visit. It has a great location and the rooms are fine. Imperial Palace has a great location but it is old and is showing it_s age.

  • Imperial Place. It is perfectly located in the middle of the strip. The Flamingo and Harrah_s are next door. The room prices are great. It is a nice hotel. One of my favorite. About 9 places to eat. _ The new Las Vegas monorail route includes stops at: MGM Grand, Bally_s / Paris, Flamingo, Harrah_s / Imperial Palace, Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas Hilton and the Sahara. Which is great! Hope this helps! Enjoy your trip!

  • Imperial Palace is a dump.

Just do a Google search for IMPERIAL PALACE LAS VEGAS REVIEWS

if you want to see what a dump it is.

If you just want a plain, basic hotel room Bally_s is the lowest priced acceptable property on the center strip. Flamingo and Harrah_s GO rooms are a bit nicer than Bally_s and a bit higher priced.

Paris is a step up; nicer than Flamingo and Harrah_s and more expensive.

Caesars Palace is a step above Paris and Bellagio is a step above Caesars.

I recommend booking the best hotel you can afford. Even though you don_t spend much time in the room, it will make the difference between raving about your vacation after you come home and complaining about it.

  • Best price, central location. Try, in order of quality, Bally_s, Flamingo and Imperial Palace. The only thing the Imperial Palace has going for it is price. But there are plenty of other choices. Below is a map of the Strip. Below that a place to shop for hotels and book them. Below that a site with Promo Codes that may apply for the dates you require. Can be quite a savings but read the everything in the promotion to make sure it is what you want. For instance, some Hotels post a cheap price but then add in _resort fees_ that is a bit deceptive.

  • The imperial palace is centrally located. It is a cheap hotel, but you will be in walking distance to all the good casinos. Many people stay there for that reason. They don_t plan on spending too much time in their room.

  • I live here and used to visit before the move.
    try this site. vegas.com
it will show you a wonderful selection of places and rates. also it is a locally owned business with real American people that answer the phone if you get in a bind ... you are not call some off shore country where the people have no clue what you are talking about.

    - it has the latest promotion codes for MGM Grand, Monte Carlo, Excalibur and other Las Vegas hotels available.

  • Yes, the Imperial Palace is where I stay, but it_s kind of a dump. Right near by is Harrahs or Flamingo which are also reasonable. Ballys is good. A good site is i4vegas.com
Excalibur is a little too far on the one end of the strip _ geared more toward kids. Planet Hollywood is nice.

  • HOW MANY ARE IN YOUR PARTY? WE STAYED AT THE PLANET HOLLYWOOD....4 TO A ROOM AND IT WAS 22.00 EACH WITH TAXES...THE ROOM WAS HUGE AND THE BATHROOM WAS ALMOST AS BIG AS THE ROOM...WE WERE VERY COMFORTABLE AND HAPPY WITH THIS AND WOULD DEFINITELY STAY THERE AGAIN! IT WAS REALLY EASY ACCESS TO ALL THE PLACES WE WANTED TO SEE...ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE NIGHTLY WATER SHOWS!

WE BOOKED A HEAD THRU HOTELS.COM

  • Book directly from the hotels using their discount codes. Look for deals at Imperial Palace, Flamingo, Excalibur, Luxor and Tropicana.

  • Imperial Palace is good. I_ve stayed there. It_s not expensive, and it_s not a dump either. Other nearby ones include Harrah_s, Bally_s or the Flamingo.

  • Central for walking? Middle of the Strip is something like Treasure Island. Not a bad place; great atmosphere. Under $100 on weekdays during slow months.

  • Right now there are deals galore. I_ve stayed at the Las Vegas Hilton for $45 / night.

  • Check out www.lasvegasnow.com which is local TV8 site with links and info. I would sugggest you look at Excalibur

  • Where are the best places to enjoy the Rocky Mountains (US) on a limited travel budget?|137771

A friend and I are hoping to see what we can of the Rocky Mountains and other nature-esque point of interest this summer, and need to keep travel costs down as much as possible. Does anyone have any ideas as to camping locations, great views with low costs or free access, and relatively inexpensive food? We_ll be coming in from south-central Texas, if that makes any differences. Thanks in advance!

  • You will be entering Colorado on Raton Pass between Raton, New Mexico and Trinidad, CO.. What a gorgeous view just as you get past the crest of the pass. If you want to see the Rockies in the southern part of the state, turn west at the sign to Walsenburg and follow signs to La Vwta pass, then to the town of la Veta. There is a state park just after La Veta where you can camp...gorgeous place. If you would like to go to Rocky Mtn, National Park, northeast of Denver, it is fantastic. Youcan camp there too. Or you can go on line and book lodging at the YMCA of the Rockies...just 1 mile from the entrance to the park...great place with lodging in all price ranges. They fill up fast so you woud need to make reservations very. When you go to the park, go to the visitors center and get info on al kinds of trails and ikes. Be sure to drive up to top of Trail Ridge Road...it is fantastic. On your way to Denver you will go through Colorado Springs...you could go see Pikes Peak...actually you can_t miss it...it twers over the city, go up to the town or Woodland Park, and go see the garden of the Gods with its amazing rock formations...right in the middle of Colorado Springs. i lived in Springs for years, and camped all over Co. I highly recommend the YMCA of the Rockies.
