What are the rules of having a fire on the beach in California?|106085

I live in San Francisco and want to have a small fire with a few friends tonight on Ocean Beach. I know you can_t have booze on the beach, but I don_t know the rest of the rules for size of the fire, number of people, etc...

  • You have to use the fire pits between Stairwells #21 and #28.

Scroll halfway down this page to find the PDF of all Ocean Beach fire regulations:

  • Where is a good place to stay when visiting Seattle for Sea Hawks vs Jets game?|160440

Looking for a hotel around the attractions of Seattle and Quest Field. Kind of on a bit of a budget, but no looking to stay in a dump.

  • You can actually do a quote and sort the results based on distance from Qwest Field -- so, at a glance, you_ll be able to see room rates _ how far each hotel is from the stadium

    Just head over to
    http://www.resideo.com/us/washington/sea
and click the _enter your travel dates_ link. Choose your dates, submit the form. When the results appear, choose _Qwest Field_ from the _distance_ dropdown.

You can then read up on each hotel, view rooms _ rates, and book online -- knowing how far each place is away from the stadium.

I did a quick check for the dates of the Jets game, and found the Executive Hotel Pacific for $126/night:

And they_re less than a mile away...

Lots of hotels within 2 miles, with several under $150/night.

    Hope that helps!

  • The Edgewater, on the waterfront. Walking distance to Pike Place Market and the waterfront touristy stuff. It_s famous due to the Beatles staying there in the 1960s. It_s built on the very edge of Puget Sound.

Not sure how expensive it is?
  • I am a 22 year-old moving to Maryland and looking for a fun, safe, somewhat inexpensive neighborhood to live?|159373

I will be working in Fort Meade, MD. I would like a short commute to work, preferably 20 minutes or less. By fun, I mean nightlife, bars, sports teams, and a younger crowd around my age. Any suggestions of neighborhoods, whether outside Baltimore or DC would be appreciated.

  • Your best bet is Laurel or Columbia. But stay away from Silver Springs! I have over 200 family members in the area....trust me!

I live in Owings Mills... about 30-40 minutes away from Ft. Meade. My parents bought a house in Severn, about three miles from Ft. Meade. If you need a realtor to help you find a great place, let me know via email.

Living in Columbia, Laurel, Odenton or Severn will keep you near both DC and Baltimore. You have two major areas to party at without living in them.
