Try Georgetown during the week. Clydes at Gallery Place. Also, Old Town Alexandria and Fells Point in Baltimore. Almost any of those will have 30-ish clientele.

The Brickskellar is a great choice.

And how does that work? You just get off the cruise and go to your hotel(or wherever) and then say we want to stay a week in Hawaii then we go back to another cruise? Or does the same one pick us back up? how does this work? Thanks all!

They go to all the islands for a day, then back to LA

I have only seen cruises that start/end in Honolulu and that start/end in Vancouver. They are usually 12 days and stop at 4-5 islands. I have seen 1 here that starts and ends in Honolulu but the reviews were not very good.
Just try out the cruise websites www.Carnival.com I have done 2 cruises with Carnival and I can not wait to do more! So fun =)

What is the difference in terms of lifestyle? culture? pace? competition?

People in California are, for the most part, more liberal than their Midwestern counterparts. You will find more people in California concerned with external superficialities such as: cars, homes, plastic surgery. In other words: how things _look._

Of course geography would be an influence on the difference of these two areas. It_s more sunny on the west coast, therefore more people go to the beaches and etc. Whereas the midwest, I hear they do farming? I personally wouldn_t know. To keep it plain and simple, the west is far more diverse.

I will be in Andover, MA for two weeks on business training. How hard is it to use the train and then catch the subway into boston? Anything fun to do in Andover?

REAL easy. the commuter rail will take you right into North Station (where the celtics and bruins play). The Andover stop is on the Haverill line. So just find out where the stop is and hop on and you_ll be in Boston in 20-30 minutes.

Yeah the Commuter rail will take you right into Boston. There is tons more stuff to do in Boston such as visit Fenway Park. The freedom trail, and lots of other stuff.

simple they have signs everywhere telling you which color line goes where.

The trains run all day from Andover to North Station in Boston. The last train back leaves Boston at 12:10AM.

It_s easy once you are near Boston. The MBTA has bus/subways to get around town.
