Is thanks giving week a good time to visit boston for a shoping trip?|129870

my family and i are planning a shopping spree in boston. we live in Ireland and we are tryin to pick a date. we were thinking about arriving the day after thanks giving but after hearing some scary stories about black friday were not so sure....are all the shops crazy with crowds or is mainly the electronic shops?

It is all of the shops and most of them are like that all week long..... now I am talking about the craziness of huge lines out the door, messy stores, people pushing and cutting in line.

The scary robbery and shooting storys, I have only heard two of those and they were both at electronic stores

noooooooooo. because of all the sales and stuff thats a horrible time with all the lines and traffic. I_d go after thanksgiving.

Shopping the day after Thanksgiving is NUTS! But you will find bargains, especially this year, I think. I would not go near a store that day or weekend, but hey I am not a shopper. By now I do it all online.

There are a lot of great deals the day after Thanksgiving. You should stay away from malls and walmart type stores, but downtown Boston/Newbury Street/Fanueil hall should be fun. You at least wont have to deal with parking wars since you walk everywhere.

I currently live in IL and hate it.

I moved to San Diego from north of Seattle and I LOVE IT HERE. The average temp is in around 60-70 all year with summer getting up into the 80_s. It_s nowhere near as crowded and smoggy as L.A., there are many many great neighborhoods that are safe and welcoming, and all kinds of employment opportunities....not to mention that it is so beautiful. There are (small) mountains, lakes, bays, the ocean, beaches, many parks and so much to do. I would definitely recommend looking into it.

well most people would say Florida but Texas is really nice near the coast is really nice but if ya like snow I_m sorry you will not see any but don_t live too close to the ocean because hurricanes but its kinda rainy hope i help 8^]

San Diego is very nice, but in relation to job prospects it is a very, very expensive city and many people choose to live there so, relatively speaking, jobs can be competitive and lower paying compared to similar positions in other cities and states. My boyfriend and I are going to vegas for the 3 days prior to valentine_s day. I haven_t been there since i was a child, so i need to know some really awesome things to do and see....free and cheap things to do are a plus.

The good clubs are below but they can be VERY expensive and hard to get in if you dont know any of the bouncers

Ellis Island has a very very good streak dinner for like 6 bucks and i mean it is good! They also have good chicken fried steak and a awesome BBQ place inside the place also and its all under 10 dollar plates!!

If you do a buffet i would spend a bit extra because you want the best food you can get and stay away from circus circus buffet i warn you!! The bellagio, wynn and the orleans casino all have the best buffet i think..

Cheap - Buffets, 1 dollar gaming at Slot O_ Fun, 99 cent margaritas at Bill_s Gambling Hall

Other - the rides on top of the Stratosphere, Clubs are all pretty much the same - get a VIP pass from one of the street promoters (cover can be upwards of $50 - promoters give them away free or really cheap) and arrive early.

We_re going on vacation for Spring Break, but I have no idea where to go besides our destination: Washington DC. What are some places and spots for sightseeing? It should be cheap, we won_t be needing hotels or anything so we just need some cheaper attractions to amuse ourselves through the trip.
