What is the best major city in Virginia for a tourist from Detroit?|119625

I am 15 and from Detroit. I have never been to virginia and I was wondering which city is the best for me to go to: Virginia Beach, Norfolk, or Richmond. I should be there in October. thank you.

WIlliamsburg is half way between Richmond and Norfolk and is very historic.

Also, don_t overlook Roanoke and the lovely Shenandoah valley towns along I-81...Staunton, Lexington, Harrisburg, Natural Bridge, New Market...etc..or go to Luray Caverns or drive up in the Blue Ridge mountains on skyline drive....in another month the leaves turn as well and it_s very pretty.

And of course there is the suburban and very wealthy northern Virginia which is really considered suburbs of DC. Lots of fine restaurants, shopping and traffic.

There is alot of history in Virginia. The Norfolk area would be my choice. Williamsburg is a must. Virginia Beach will not be very warm or busy in October. If you can go towards Charlottesville. Monticello was home to Thomas Jefferson.

Definitely Richmond. Plan a drive to Jamestown. I grew up in VA.

Any Virginia penitentiary will do. It_ll feel just like back home, bro.

Why is it that Hardees and Wendys will give a discount to the military but Mcdonalds wont?|157664

Well like Hardees they will give anyone in a uniform like the military or cop or fire man a 20% discount besides a clown of course. Wendys gives i think 10% off for the military. Mcdonalds doesnt. Burger King well their food sucks anyways. They have a BK on every military post in the word even on bases in Afghanistan. But you see my point. Go to places that help the people that are serving the people who put their life on the line everyday.

No one to give the discount to worth a damn. They are known to ignore other areas. If you are having problems its a good idea even though it is not a fair business practice.

How long does it take for mail to get from the west coast to the wast coast?|112773

My aunt in california owes me 40 bucks and she said she sent it (by regular mail) on Saturday April 4th but I still haven_t received anything. I_m in florida so i know getting mail takes some time if it_s coming from the west coast, but should it take this long or could she be pulling my leg and maybe she didn_t send it at all?

In Flordia Island of Adventures.Also just staying home and grilling out ,swimming ,biking,going to Kings Island,horse back riding,shopping.Sometimes going away can be a big hassle with the gas and all the packing and unpacking and eating out for a week,the traffic,the crowds.

Cozumel. It is a small little island in Mexico on the Caribbean side. I have been there 3 times and love it. There is a lot to do. Snorkeling, scuba diving, sight seeing, go see the ruins etc. There are a lot of resorts that are all-inclusive and it makes it very reasonable priced.
www.occidentalhotels.com I have stayed at both the Allegro Cozumel, and Occidental Grand. The Allegro Cozumel is cheaper and to me a much better place. Each building only has 4 hotel rooms. They look like little huts. \
Lots of food, fun, and all the alcohol (for free) you can drink.
