What is the fastest way to get to West Hollywood during rush hour?|124522

I have to drive there from West Covina around 9 on Fridays, returning around 3, and I have yet to find a way to avoid 3 hours of traffic on the way home.

I usually take the 134 to the 210, but I_ve also tried the 10 and side streets.... still takes forever. If I left closer to 2:30 would it make much of a difference? Help!

  • There_s no easy way to get there quickly, although I_ve heard some people recommend taking the 10 west to La Cienega and then heading straight north.

  • Shoot Kim there is no good way...You might experiment
with the trains, like park in a lot out toward where you live and work you way in to the red line and so on....that_s the only thing I can think of that MIGHT work....It even might save you some money on parking (and a lot of stress)....

  • Take Metrolink and then the red line subway. The subway goes to Hollywood, so after that you_ll have to either take the bus or walk a few blocks.

  • Sorry Kim, but there are many thousands of people going the same direction you are going. It_s all a matter of having too many people in one place. Sorry, I feel for you.

  • If you have the means, charter a helicopter. Otherwise, you_re probably screwed.
  • What are some good places to see in Chicago, in your opinion?|147742

I haven_t been to Chicago in about ten years, but I_ll be headed there later this year - I know I_ll be seeing the Field Museum and the Aquarium, what else would people here recommend? I have a fear of heights, so no Sears Tower... :-)

  • The Art Institute is awesome, definitely go there. Make sure you get a deep dish pizza while you_re there... I went to this place called Giordano_s. And you really should go to the Sears tower... it_s really amazing and I promise it_s not scary. :)

  • The Bean In Millenium Park! This is also the place where Obama made his speech!

  • The Navy Pier is nice. Full of shops and restaurants along the water.

  • If you haven_t been to Chicago in ten years than you have not yet seen Millenium Park. It is a must see.
