Are there still street vendors in Chicago that sell roasted chestnuts during the holidays?|160516

I grew up in the suburbs, and I remember always going downtown during the holidays to see the windows, and we_d eat roasted chestnuts. My boyfriend has never had them! So I_m wondering, if we go downtown this holiday season, will we be able to find some? Do you think Nuts on Clark would have them?

  • We don_t have street vendors in Chicago because of health regulations. I know Whole Foods and Trader Joe_s always have fresh chestnuts in the produce department this time of year. Just cut an _x_ in the top and roast them in the oven.

  • They also sell them at Navy Pier - not via street vendor, but at those little carts in the mall and outside. Its a nice place to walk around in the winter, too.

  • You won_t find any street vendors with roasted chestnuts, but Nuts on Clark will definitely have them.
  • What are some similarities between small towns and big cities?|137296

The only one I can think of is they both get tourists..

  • The same social classes exist in both small towns and big cities.

If in the same country, they share the same values and beliefs most likely.

Both value their local attractions, so to speak. A Chicago resident probably values navy peir, and a Hannibal, MO resident values mark twain cave.
