How do you use the buses in San Francisco?|109752

Do you just tell the driver where you_re going and then he asks for the correct fare? Or are there machines where you drop your money in?

  • There are no fare zones for MUNI buses. So, it is a flat $2.00 for 90 minutes in any direction. Simply board and put your money into the slot. The drivers do not handle money and you should have exact change. All they do is give you a transfer on buses.

However, the subway (BART) and commuter rail (Caltrain) systems do have fare zones. In both cases, you_ll have a fare chart posted near the automated ticket machines in every station. You_ll need to know where you_re going to tell the machine to print out the correct amount. The machines - unlike the drivers - are programmed to provide change.

  • some bus stops have route maps which are color coded and with bus numbers to tell you which bus goes on which route. if you have to change bus routes you get a bus transfer from the bus driver and your on your way or you can go to the main bus station and get a bus route map. not sure of the fare but they have a machine on the bus where you pay

  • Must have exact change or a pass. There are visitor_s passes which are a really good deal and convenient and cheaper if you plan to stay in town for 1, 3, 7 days. If you pay, you drop it into a machine next to the driver when you board. Driver does not carry change.

Don_t sit in back of the bus. Tell the driver where you are going so he/she can call out the stop or tell you where to get off. I find other passengers really friendly and helpful, too.

  • It_s $2.00 for adults and $0.75 for people under 18 and older than 65, no matter how far you are going. The ticket usually then is useful for another hour and a half. There_s a machine at the front where you drop your money in.

  • you need to figure out which one, you can ask the driver. But don;t ask the driver for directions, but the passagener get pissed off when ther bus is not moving.

  • San Francisco has the best public transportation system in California but you have to know where you are going.

  • There are fare boxes at the front. You just drop your money in or scan your pass. The fare is either per boarding or per day, so it doesn_t matter how far you_re going.
  • What is there to do on Smith Barracks in Baumholder Germany?|160202

We are moving there at the end of this year and I would like to know from people that have lived there what it_s like. Also what it_s like off post and what is there to do in the city of Baumholder.

  • I was not stationed there for my tour of Germany, I was at Fliegerhourse Kassern out of Hanau.

I would take USO tours al over Germany. The boat trip on the Rhine was just wonderful. Trips to Paris and London were also great. Don_t miss Heidelburg, if you don_t go you_ll regret it.

I also took trips to Italy. Lake Como was very expensive, but worth every penny.

    Look around, enjoy

The EM, NCO or Officers clubs sometimes put on shows.

  • Baumholder is a small town and there_s not much going on in it. In fact, there_s really not much to do in that part of Germany because it_s mostly used for industry and military purposes. Baumholder can be really boring if you stay on post and don_t get out of the area.

The good news is you_re in Europe! You can spend your weekends exploring and sight seeing. MWR offers cheap trips for government officials and their family members.

On post activities include the movie theater, PX, shooting ranges, indoor swimming, gyms, track _ field activities, education center (for college courses), library, fast food (burger king, popeyes, anthony_s pizza, taco bell), and commissary. There_s more, but that_s just off the top of my head.

The weather is horrible! Baumholder is at a high elevation and you_re going to see lots of clouds, rain, and snow (the last couple of years have been light winters).

Soldiers stationed there are constantly in the field or deployed. It_s all about training there.

To make the best of your stay, I_d suggest getting out of Baumholder as much as possible. Take advantage of being in Europe and enjoy the culture.

  • About the bus line between Atlantic city and New york city. How exactly does it work?|115205

There is a bus line goes from New York to Atlantic City called lucky streak. I think people take it because they can get their money back when they come back to New York. But how exactly does it work? Do I need to be a frequent rider to get on that bus? how much do I pay initially and how much do they give me back? Thank you for reading the whole thing. Hope my crapy English doesn_t bother you that much.

  • Ahh, the gambling bus. I_ve taken it many times. You buy your ticket at the Port Authority Bus station in NYC. Do not buy a ticket to Atlantic City, they will only give you a ticket to the town, not to the casinos, you won_t get your voucher. You must tell them you want the bus to the casinos!! The ride is about $23 or $27 round trip. I don_t remember exactly. You pay full price in NY and when you get to the casinos, depending on how they_re doing that day you get money back. The people on the bus are total gamblers, they always know which casinos are paying out best, different casinos pay out different amounts. The bus stops at several casinos, once I got off at Harrahs and got 14 dollars back, once I only got 8 at Caesars. You do not get any money when you come back to NY, you only get the money when the bus gets to the casinos. Have fun.
  • How long does it take to ship something from illinois to florida?|125236

A package. i used the regular shipping and it got picked up in illinois at 6:01 p.m.
do they fly it to Florida?

  • By regular, you mean the US Postal Service? If so, somewhere between 3 and 10 days.
Sometimes they fly stuff, sometimes it_s trucked. Depends.
You should have asked when you mailed it and they would_ve told you an expected average time for delivery.
