What is the best surrounding city of Nashville?|176596

My husband and I are looking to move to the Nashville area next year but would rather live in a surrounding city to save money. I have heard that Hermitage and Hendersonville are pretty nice. Any other suggestions? We are looking for a family friendly area that is relatively close to activities and shopping.

  • Your best value will be in Hendersonville or Gallatin. Hermitage isn_t bad, however. All 3 are reasonable options. If you have lots of $$, Brentwood and Franklin to the south are trendy and higher-priced.
White House and Springfield are more rural bedroom communities.
The southeast corridor toward Murfreesboro is much more crowded and has higher crime rates.

  • I grew up in Tennessee and it_s such a gorgeous state. I like the Franklin area. I hear it_s pretty expensive now because a lot of the country music stars live around there. You can_t go wrong anywhere you live in Tennessee. When I go home and go over a hill and look down in the valley it never ceases to take my breath away.

  • id go with hendersonville

  • Brentwood very upscale, that would be my choice
  • How much money should I bring when visiting Disneyland with my friends?|161136

How much money should we bring (per person)? It should be enough to pay for lunch, dinner, snacks, face painting, and a small souvenier (like a $10 thing)

  • Well let_s break it down by meal and event.

Have breakfast at your hotel - hopefully they offer a continental breakfast. You_ll have a full day of walking, so eat something that will hold you off until lunch.

Snacks at Disney, like most things, can be pricy. But plan on about $5 for your first snack of the day - say mid morning.

For lunch - this just depends one what type of meal you_d like. If you_d like something quick and easy inside of Disneyland or California Adventure, plan on $10. Although, I recommend you get your hand stamped and head over to one of the Disney Resorts or Downtown Disney for a great meal. Meals at either of these locations will cost you between $9 and $17.

Figure $5-$7 for your afternoon snack
This is a great time to head over to the Tiki Juice Bar in Adventure Land! Try a Dole Pineapple float - they are amazing!

For dinner, the same rule applies as for lunch. The only recommened restaurant within the park is The Blue Bayou , located inside the Pirates attraction (which costs about $20-$30 per person). Otherwise, you_ll want to head over to the Jazz Kitchen or Rainforest Cafe for a great meal in Downtown Disney. For Blue Bayou, I recommend you make your dining reservations in advance, by calling: 714-781-DINE. You should make a reservation for whichever restaurant you choose for dinner. Cost wise for Dinner, plan on spending about $25 per person.

For souveniers, face painting, etc.. plan on bringing about $50-$60 per person.

So all together, you_d want to bring about $100.00 or more for your Disneyland day!

    Have a great time!

  • I live in so cal and go there twice a year and we spend at least $100 per person in food, face painting, toy, snack. So better to take more to be safe than sorry.

  • Face painting? At Dis? 10$ thing? Yeah right. ok. Take a good 300.00 you_ll be ok for about a day.

  • In addition to money for meals and souvenirs, don_t forget that parking and entrance fees alone can run close to $100.00 Its a great experience to have at least once in your life time, but it isn_t cheap.

  • Well it depends on what you plan to do in Disneyland. Food and souveniers are more expensive then what you would expect. I say about $100.00 each, but it all depends on how you plan to spend your money.

  • At least $100. $200 or more is ideal. Its very expensive.

  • Bring about 200 bucks. No joke
I grew up there and visited all the time if you are only going once then you got to get it all at once. Food is expensive and souveniers are too. A balloon is like 7.50... sorry if that puts you off but its an experience of a lifetime.

  • mmm $200 or $155

  • $40-$50. It depends upon how expensive the meals are, and how many snacks you buy. But, that should do it, bare minimums.

    Have fun on your trip!

  • Disneyland is very expensive, believe me. I went with my school for a special event and it was so expensive. $100 or more should be enough. Depending on how long you will stay. Per day its about $50 at LEAST. Water, for about half the size of a regular water bottle is $3.50. And most of the snacks are around $10, if you really want a good snack. Also be prepared for long lines.

    Hope my advice helped!

  • What song should be used for a disney vacation slideshow?|152728

A few months ago I went on vacation with my family to Disney World, and I wanted to make a slide show with all the pictures I had. I have all the pictures I need but I can_t pick a song.

  • Well, Im a mad person who has _a pirates life for me_ as my phone ringtone :) so here are some suggestions

    Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
    The Bare Necessities
    Hakuna Matata
    Someday My Prince Will Come
A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes
    Reflection
    Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah
    Be Our Guest
    Under the Sea
    Part of Your World
When You Wish Upon a Star
    A Whole New World
I Just Can_t Wait to Be King
    Two Worlds
You_ve Got a Friend in Me
    One Jump Ahead
    Friend Like Me
    Something there
You Can Fly! You Can Fly! You Can Fly
    I Wan_na Be Like You
    Go the Distance
    True to your Heart
    Son of Man
    Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride
    Strangers like me
    On My Way
    Great Spirits
    Look Through My Eyes
    Little Wonders

    So many to choose from!

  • Use more than one! Organize your photos into groups like _fantasyland,_ _tomorrowland,_ etc., and pick a song from each land. Start with When You Wish Upon a Star for when you first got there. Bare Necessities for when you_re eating. Listen to a bunch of Disney songs with your eyes closed and pick out pictures that the song instantly reminds you of. If the rides you_re on had songs (Splash Mountain, the Tea Cups, Small World) use those. It will make it much more interesting, I think, to use more than one song.

  • a good one for anything Disney is_ Zip-a-dee-doo-da_ and When _You Wish Upon A Star_ those would be good to start and end with.

but really it depends on what park, and what photo.

If there is a photo that was taken on or in front of a ride than try finding that rides theme song.
(Just beware of its a small world, that is known to drive people crazy lol)

Have fun with the Disney songs.

  • _celebrate a dream come true_ which is the current song for the parade in the Magic Kingdom
_Disney dreams come true_ old parade song, my personal favorite
    hope this helped :)

  • Belows is slideshow songs suggestions list, see if there is any song you will like.

  • How about _Holiday Road_?
  • How do I get to Japantown San Francisco from Fremont Bart?|127904

I need to get there by 11am. What are the station stops and bus line I need to get there and how long is the entire 1-way trip?

  • Take Bart From Fremont to Montgomery Station. Go up to Market Street catch a 38 or 38L Geary bus to Geary and Fillmore. The peace pagoda is just a block north and east at Post and Webster.

I_d say minimum travel time is an hour and 15 minutes.
