How much should I take to spring break for a week?|113575

Im going to panama city beach florida for spring break and i have already paid for my room and groceries and gas. We will be eating out twice during the week.how much should a graduating senior girl take with her?

  • Be generous but not stupid give yourself 50-100$ a day

  • Yeahh!!
I was in Panama City Beach last week for Spring Break. It was so fun and I had a blast. PBC is mad cheap. I went with 3 other friends and we each paid only about $300 total (4 nights hotel, food, gas, drinks, cover, etc.).

You seem to already have everything paid for so you shouldn_t have to bring too much money. Meals should never really be over $10-$12 unless you plan on eating at really upscale restaurants. They have a lot of cheap college special buffets and stuff, but I thought they were greasy and gross.

All the bars and clubs have really good happy hours where there is no cover and free beer / drinks. You just have to know where to go on what day. The Panamanic and Club LaVela card came with our room reservation so we used that to the max. I got plastered durnk every night but I think I only actually paid for 4 or 5 drinks. Plus drinks are priced pretty cheap (well I go to college in Miami, which is super expensive, so they are cheap compared to drinks in Miami).

I never actually paid a cover (we used the cards) but I heard that cover increases $5 every half hour at LaVela and Spinnicker. The typical cover was around $20 I would say. It all depends on what time you get there.

I would say bring maybe $250-$300, depending on how long you are staying. I never did any shopping so if you plan on buying stuff factor that in. Just remember to bring enough cash for the hotel deposit.

Pamama city beach was a great time. You are going to have a blast. I hope to see some pics posted of you doing something you_ll regret. haha. have a good time!

  • i usually budget $100 a day for spending money.
  • What is the night life in Nashville like during the week?|111192

It_s nearing the end of Christmas break for us college students and my friends and I want to do something exciting. We thought Nashville would be fun, but we would be leaving this week to go to the city and were wondering if the nightlife was any good on the weekdays or if we should just stay home? We were only thinking a 3 day venture... like Wed, Thur, Friday night, then back to Madison, WI on Saturday morning. Any thoughts, anyone?

Also, any recommendations for fun and entertaining attractions for college students? Thanks a bunch.

  • hi,a bit late but these might help!

  • 2nd street in Nashville - any night - street entertainers, Tootsie_s Orchid Lounge (actually on Broadway), Printer_s Alley is nearby. SO much to do and entertainment (not much country music, but very good entertainers) every evening from 6 on.

  • How do you submit someone to get into Disneyland for free on their birthday?|101933

I was a bit confused on trying to sign my friend up to go to Disneyland and I need some help. I can_t sign up an account for me because I_m not 18 yet but my friend is. Can anyone help me?

  • If you are not 18 you cannot register either yourself or a friend. However, if your friend goes to the ticket window on their birthday with appropriate documents (govt issued ID or certified birth certificate) they will be given a free ticket for entry. Pre-registration is recommended to save time filling out paperwork at the park but registration is not required for the free ticket.

  • OK- Here_s a few options.
Option 1: Ask your parents to sign her up for you, or another family friend
Option 2: Lie about your age
Option 3: Tell her about the site
Option 4: Since you have to go on YOUR birthday, get cheap tickets.
Option 5: Start a fundraiser for yourself and ask people to buy cheap handicrafts or buy a service for you and tell them it_s for a trip for you and your friend(s) to go to Disneyland!
    Good Luck!
(P.S. If you are into shopping, go to Downtown Disney Shopping District!)

  • Since she is an adult she needs to go onto Disney website and register herself...it_s easy and it_s free...then Disney will send an e-mail so she can get a birthday printout confirmation. If she doesn_t have a printer, no worries, they can look it up once she gets to Disneyland (as long as she_s already pre-registered online). Since she_s over 18, she must show proof with either a government issued photo i.d. or a driver_s license...birth certificate is NOT acceptable for anyone over 18...if she does not have acceptable photo I.D. (school A.S.B. card is not accepted), maybe she can call Disneyland and see what they can do. Here_s the link to register...

Okay...if you want to register for yourself and get a birthday pass for YOU, anyone may do so as long as they are over the age of 13 (but you may not register anyone else). ...AND...because you are still under age 18, a copy of birth certificate will be acceptable if you do not yet have a driver_s license.

  • the truth is you don_t even have to sign up to get in free on your birthday just show up with the correct documents.
  • What is someing fun a 19 year old could do by himself on Halloween that is inexpensive downtown?|188857

Everyone I know is working, and everyone else is going to college parties which I am not very interested in.

  • navy pier has a haunted house....maybe try that out. if you feel nervous about being by yourself, if anyone asks, just tell them you are writing an article for your journalism class and you are comparing haunted houses!

  • How Long is the commute from Boulder to Denver?|188459

I am living in boulder, and just got a new job in Denver. I_m going to be driving in M-F and I have to be there by 8am. I will be getting off I-25 at N Speer Blvd. How early will I have to leave and how long do you think it will take me to get to?

  • I recommend taking the bus--the traffic on I-25 is awful, especially if you_re not carpooling. I live in Broomfield and it takes me about an hour each way.

  • At that time of day give yourself at least 1 1/2 hours.

  • not very far. i know. maybe an hour at the most.

  • Go to mapquest.com for directions. Excellent site.

  • It is not a long distance but traffic along the Boulder turnpike/Highway 36 can get bad. Try using the RTD commuter buses, they actually have several express routes to/from Boulder and various sections of Denver. The buses are clean, fast and comfortable!

  • AN HOUR WOW MUISTA WENT WRONG WAY...NOT TOO LONG 25-35 MINUTES ON A GOOD DAY

  • 1 1/2 hours is an insane answer!!!!! It take about 30 minutes on the turn pike. Not a bad drive at all.

  • 30 Mins w/o traffic
