Can we drink on the beach on Honululu without getting cited by the police?|116813

I_m graduating high school this June. And my friends and I are planning to go to Honolulu for a week for our senior trip. My concern is, how strict are the cops there? We definitely will be drinking and partying, and some of us, but not all have fake IDs. Will we be able to drink on the beach with no problem? Maybe some other places?

Also, how much is like a standard 30 pack at a grocery store there? I know tis more expensive but how much more?

  • Most likely the beer drinking party will come to a hault in Honolulu. You_ll might be facing the 5-o and also the lifegaurds. If you have any friends living in Honolulu, his/her house would be a great place. hu knows.

And please...dnt put McLovin as a name on any i.d.

  • First of all the legal drinking age is 21 like the rest of the US. Public drinking is against the law in Hawaii. Unless you want to spend your vacation in jail I suggest you don_t do it.

  • Underage drinking I remember those days lol Well my advice is not to drink on any beach in Waikiki, there are cops that do beach patrol on ATVs and believe me they don_t play around with any open containers. lol Like the guy above me said if you travel to the north shore you will have much better luck. As for a 30 pack I_m assuming your talking about can beer, Any Bud products (Budweiser, bud light, bud ice etc.) run any where from $20-$25 depending if you go to a liquor store or grocery store. As for Heineken to corona_s it_s a little more. Good luck and I hope the cops leave you guys alone. Also Congrats on graduating.

  • Don_t try to do it in Waikiki, or anywhere in town. If you go out to the country, you_ll be much safer. Get to the North Shore if you can, or even a neighbor island, and you_ll be less likely to run into static from the fuzz.
  • Where is the lawn chair section in times square located for new years?|149751

My wife and I are planning on going to times square on new years eve to see the ball drop and were wondering where the lawn chair section is located and if it_s within viewing distance of the ball drop. Does anyone have a link I can go to where I can see a layout of times square and its _sections_?

  • The lawn chairs are located along Broadway, from 43rd Street to 49th Street. However, if you_re going to Times Square for the Ball Drop, you can forget finding them. That_s because they will be removed for the event on Dec. 31st.

    Good luck
  • What cities in Colorado get the most snow in Dec?|149646

We are going on vacation and want to see snow...What city will we have the most luck in for the middle of December?

  • A great few great places to go are Vail, Beaver Creek, and Avon Colorado which are all about 90 minutes west of Denver if you take Highway 70. Boulder is a great city to visit in any weather and will most likely to have some snow around December. Colorado Springs which is south of Denver is colder than Denver and has a higher elevation so will most likely have some snow. Points of interest in Colorado Springs include Pikes Peak, Broadmore Hotel, and the Olympic Training Center. I also suggest Winter Park city and ski resort, which is only about an hour and 15 minutes due west the north west of Denver, and is a very pretty state park like setting and authentic Colorado Skiing. Enjoy Colorado Snow!!!

  • well, leadville will probably have at least 3 feet of snow by the end of december. however, dillon, silverthorne, breckenridge, frisco, vail, avon, edwards, keystone and fairplay will all have snow in december. the towns are all in close proximity, they kindof make a square. fairplay, leadville, avon, and breckenridge serve as the corners.

  • The higher, the better.

Summit County (Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper) all have nice places to stay, and guaranteed lots of snow. Down the highway in Eagle County (Vail, Beaver Creek) will also be snowy.

You could try smaller ski towns such as Telluride, Crested Butte, or Steamboat. All would be good choices- especially if you are into snow sports.

  • Any of the mountain towns but Steamboat Springs is one that_s known for getting lots of snow. Also, you wouldn_t necessarily find snow in Boulder unless it had snowed recently and heavily. When it does snow there, it usually melts pretty quickly.

  • Anywhere in the mountais will have snow for sure. Nice places to go are on a large budget are Vail and Aspen. Good places to go on an average budget could be either Glenwood Springs or Steamboat Springs. Glenwood Springs, in my opinion would be a good bet for sure.

  • Estes Park is a quaint little town just at the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. They have snow when some of the lower elevation towns do not. I loved it there.

  • The mountain towns should all have snow in December. A nice place to go is Glenwood Springs. It is within driving distance of the ski resorts and absolutely gorgeous! Good luck and have fun!

  • Anywhere in the mountains. The flats are pretty dry in December.

Vale is covered with snow all winter.

  • Wolf Creek pass gets feet upon feet of snow

  • go to westcliffe its a great lil town and almost always has snow i love that place
  • What happened to those vacation packages Sams Club sold during the holidays?|133801

They had some for Las Vegas, Disneyworld, Spas in Arizona, Local spas, etc. I looked today and didnt see them anymore...does anyone know where I can find them?

  • It was a special holiday deal offered from an outside vendor
They are not available anymore at SAM_S Club

There are still some good deals to be had but you have to really research

This Wednesday we booked a trip for two for 7 nights in an AI in Cozumel for less than 2K

Yesterday the same trip was $2800

Depending on where you want to go their are several great sites to check if you have the time

    Edit

Sorry, cant make em come back

  • they are a traveling vendor and the specials they had are no longer available. they seemed like a great thing but after seriously looking into them they are not worth it. the price was low and the resorts (time share resorts) are 5 star and they said no black out days but availablility is limited. which means that if you try to book during peak seasons they will not have anything available. they only times that have been available were undesireable times and bad weather conditions. or during a time when flights are high. you may have heard they arent a time share but they are. however attending the seminars are optional. they will talk you into it when you are there. i know several people that bought them and i do work at sams and got some inside info from one of the venders i became friendly with. she actually talked me out of buying it. you are better off finding an all inclusive deal thru sandals or something. also you had to book within one year so getting a decent availability was rare.
  • I am planning a Las Vegas trip for 2 people in 2 states in September do you have any money saving travel tips?|130539

This will be my first time going to vegas I live in Florida and my Mom lives in Michigan. I want to surprise her in September with this trip. We will be leaving from each of our separate airports and I would like for us to arrive around the same time. I would appreciate any travel tips anyone has about deals , hotel , car rentals, must do things while there, best hotels. Thank you !

  • It would be much cheaper to stay off the strip, but you still may want to stay close. walk rather than take a cab or pubic transportation. I wouldn_t rent a car. because you don_t want to drive in Vegas especially near the strip and NEVER on the strip. I made the mistake and was stuck for a very long time in traffic.

  • Thats really good to hear. There are several websites which can give you deals. like orbitz, expedia, lastminute etc. There are some travel aggregator websites where you can find deals from all major travel deals provider at one place. I would say visit
    http://www.Grab2Travel.com
    it might be helpful.

  • Here is a site with lots of tips for first time visitors to Las Vegas.
    http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com
There are lots of fun things to do in Las Vegas. Everything from Vegas free attractions, to casino hopping, to Shopping to Vegas tours etc...

  • Regarding the hotel room I recommend to book it directly with the hotel in order to be more flexible. In addition I would check current hotel special on sites like
    http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com

  • Depending how long you are in Vegas you need to decide whether you need a car I always rent one but many people dont and dont think its needed have a look here at these two posts the first one is about car rental and the second about where you can for trips outside Vegas.

AS far as hotels go the most important thing to get the best price is to book direct this means no middle man and you can cancel or change you booking with no penalty up to 48 hours before check in, there are some offers below.

MGM is a lovely big hotel with the most comftable beds in Vegas, a great pool, great location and less than 10 minutes by cab from the airport. MGM launched some new offers yesterday that over up until September if you book by Visa you can have a free massage at the spa, or a free upgrade to a spa suite or a free in room breakfast form $79 per night.

  • Where are some low income apartments located at in Chicago?|162647

My nephew is about to enter college and he have a baby and a baby momma and he have a job that don_t pay a lot. He needs to find and apartment that he can afford!
Do you know any or a website that I can go on to find any.

  • Your best bet may be to use Apartment Finders. This is an amazing FREE resource in Chicago. You just tell them exactly what you_re looking to spend and then they meet with you and drive you to buildings that are safe and clean within your budget. They then even help with all of the paperwork for getting the lease.
