How can I get my lizard from 2 states away?|158369

I live in Indiana and my bearded dragon and Herman_s tortoise is St. Louis. I don_t know how to get them to me, without driving all the way there and back. They can_t go on a plane, and a train would be too long to have them out of their cages.

PLEASE HELP!

  • Put a sign around their necks, have somebody put them beside the highway, and a friendly trucker might give them a ride.

    Drive home and get them.
  • What is the most unusual/beautiful natural spot in the US?|169466

I_m always thinking a few vacations ahead and just would like some opionions on some maybe nice unknown beautiful spots in the US. I don_t like the tourist traps. But i don_t want to spend nights in the wilderness either. Campgrounds work though.

  • Depends on what you like. For ocean views, Big Sur (CA) and Coos Bay (OR). For canyons, Monument Valley (UT) and Dead Horse Point State Park (UT, near Arches NP). For lakes, Lake Tahoe (NV). For mountains, Colorado portion of Rocky Mountains, especially Maroon Bells.

  • Glacier National Park, Wyoming state.

  • Acadia National Park in Maine.
    Kiawah island, South Carolina
  • Wondering how to work in NYC and commuting home on the weekends?|159436

How could I commute to NYC for the week from Albany and go home for the weekend? I know how to get the train to Grand Central, Is there a way to just get a cheap bed and avoid getting an apartment?

  • Sure, you could check the ads on CraigsList for someone who_s looking for a roommate, and then just rent a bedroom in someone else_s apartment, and you_d be the perfect roommate, too, because you_d be gone on the weekends, so be sure to mention that a LOT when answering the ads.

Good luck, and the link below is to the Roommates page on CraigsList...
  • Where can I find a good place to go dress shopping in the Greater Cincinnati Area?|182448

I life in the greater cincinnati area and I know Dillards and Macy_s sometimes have homecoming dresses, but I really want something unique that other girls in my school probably won_t have. Does anyone have any good, different stores that others might not go to?
Boutiques? Or even stores as far us as Indy or Columbus? Throw some ideas at me. Thanks. :]

By the way, I_m a Junior in high school, if that helps narrow the search at all.

  • start hitting up the goodwills. i;m sure no one else will have the same dress that you would be wearing.

  • This depends a lot on what you want to spend and if you_ll have time to order a dress. You might want to check out the Bridal District in Reading (
    http://www.readingbridaldistrict.com/).
You can order a bridesmaid dress in your choice of colors (or a bridal gown if you want). Otherwise hit the malls, there are lots of stores that will carry dresses. Also consider second hand -- thrift stores, consignment shops, e-bay, craigslist. Remember most of the dresses you_ll find were only worn once. Also check out Burlington Coat Factory, they usually have a good dress selection and in general they_re less expensive than Dillard_s or Macy_s. Good Luck!

  • Seven Hills School Clothing Exchange. The School is 5400 Red Bank Road, 45227. The Clothing Exchange is across the street.

  • What is the BEST haunted house to visit in Michigan?|192960

I have been to a lot of haunted houses in ohio, but only a few here in michigan. I_ve been to The Haunt, Phobia House, and the one at the kalamazoo speedway. All good, but not THAT scary!

  • There was always a good one put on by the Jaycees in Three Rivers, and there used to be some haunted woods attractions in the same area. I don_t know if they_ve got anything going on this year though. Below are some links for Michigan haunted houses and other attractions. Have fun!
