How much money should I plan on spending for a three day weekend in Vegas?|126381

I_m going to Vegas Thursday-Sunday in late September for a friend_s 21st. I_ve been to Vegas before, but never on a trip I funded myself. The room is taken care of, but how much should I plan on for going out and food?

  • hard to answer. Depends on your taste! Set a daily limit on gambling. Some shows can be expensive, but are nice. Some eating places are lower priced, with specials. Haven_t been there for 8 years now so out of track on it.

  • Hard to say

Clubs are VERY expensive so that could set you back a couple hundred

    Charge your food and shows

    Tip for food and drinks

I would bring at least 500
  • Im moving to nyc in about three weeks and need a safe spanish neighborhood near yonkers. Where is good?|191416

I would like to be not far from the city and in a neighborhood that is relatively safe and has a large spanish speaking population. Can anyone recommend some place? Possibly with good nightlife and an age range of 20-40 mostly?

  • The only neighborhood I can think of is Kingsbridge (in the Bronx). It_s also not the safest neighborhood either though there are pockets within that are okay.

It is close to Yonkers (via the _1_ subway to Van Cortlandt Park along Broadway and the Bee Line _1_ bus to Yonkers). There is a large Latino contingency there...usually on Broadway and Kingsbridge Road. There is major shopping nearby (Target - W. 225th Street in Marble Hill)

The nearby nightlife is on Fordham Road called _X Bar_...salsa, hip-hop, reggaeton. If you can find a place near Bailey Avenue north of 238th Street. or along the reservoir on Sedgwick Avenue, you should be okay.

  • Any where in the Bronx except for the South Bronx or around the Concourse up to Fordham Rd. and around Soundview. Those are the ruffest parts of the Bronx that I know of. Everywhere else is great. I love the Bronx! Rent is wayy affordable_. Keep your eye oncraigslist.

  • If a large spanish speaking population is important to you, why not Washington Heights?
  • Wheres a good place to go in florida for spring break?|190349

Ok some of my friends and I are planning on going to florida for spring break but cant make up are mind where we will be staying. We are in high school are senior year and we just want to have some fun because its our last spring break in high school. So where_s a good place we can go to have fun meet some girls and enjoy our last high school spring break?

  • P-Cola man! I live here, take my word for it! it_s a MUST for you spring breakers! talk about ladies! Fantasy Island for a young man. You wont regret taking this advice I can bet that. Hope you come here!

  • Disney World, Orlando, Disney World, Ft. Myers, Disney World, Clearwater Springs, Disney World

  • Daytona is nice, so is Pensacola, but I prefer Daytona.

  • bro was born and raised in Florida! Check out Miami, West Palm Beach, or Orlando! Miami and West Palm have great beaches with sexy ladies all day everyday! If you go to Orlando there_s plenty of theme parks (universal studio_s, island of adventure)! I would definetly recommend the South Beach area in Miami as the best!
  • What is there to do in California that is low in price?|191019

We have a 13 year old and an 11 year old. No adult only activities please!

  • Swim in the ocean and drive to the mountains :)

  • Gas- $35

    Lunch-$20

Spending a day with your boys at a beach- PRICELESS

thats about the only thing I know of that is cheap in Cali...lol

  • Santa cruise, Yosemitii National Park (they have nice parks), or visit a lake (they have nice lakes too)

You_d have to tell me where at... California is HUGE -- nearly 900 miles.

Okay, so if you are going to Northern California... I suggest Redding... it_s in the Mountains and there a places like _SODA CREEK_ it taste like soda... and cool CAVERNS

  • library,beach , park

  • Go to a beach or public pool.

  • If you are in the Los Angeles area, go see some comedy/game shows ... the tickets are free, they usually give you a small lunch/snack while watching the shows and it_s alot of fun ... tickets can be downloaded from the internet or you can get them in person in front of the Kodak Theater at the walk of stars or at the kiosk at the Universal Studios Walk shopping area (outside the park) ... it_s free and a great way to spend the day ...

Waner Brothers Studios is fairly low cost and a nice tour of the Studio. They even let you walk on the sets of some shows. (Not while filming)

  • Breathe.
  • How far is Wilmington from Newark Delaware by driving?|188928

I_m catching the train to Wilmington and was going to catch a taxi to Newark,Delaware to my hotel room. Thanks so much.

  • I would recommend just taking the train all the way down to Newark, but the trains only run there in the morning and afternoon (not during the middle of the day or later in the evening). Newark is only about 20 minutes from Wilmington on I-95, but I rarely see cabs in Wilmington, Newark, or on I-95. You might want to call a cab company ahead of time so you aren_t waiting forever.

  • It_s about 20 minutes. You can take a SEPTA train from Wilmington to Newark.
  • Can anybody share thier experience of driving route 66 with me?|165901

  • G_day,

I drove most of 66 in 07. Route 66: EZ66 Guide for Travelers - Jerry McClanahan was my bible for the trip.

I took nearly 2 months. I needed more time. You can breeze down the road in 2-3 weeks or explore it in 2-3 months.

There is so much to see and do along the way.

I plan to finish up the Kingman to LA segment in 09.

I hope, this helps. See you on The Mother Road.

  • Sorry, but for the most part Route 66 no longer exists. It was decommissioned in 1985.

In some states, you can still see parts of it.
