What of national interest is there to do in your town?
Please answer the above question and sate where you are located (city/state/country). I_m thinking of taking a holiday. Thanks. ___

  • The Sears Tower?

  • Grand Rapids Michigan Lake Michigan has the best beaches and a beautiful shore line. Michigan_s Adventures just north of Muskegon Michigan.
  • How can I get a booking slip from airline without actually buying a ticket?|197232

I am applying for a UK visa, do I need to submit return ticket along with other document to apply for visa? I surfed on the internet and found that just providing a computerized booking slip from airline would be enough and I don_t have to buy the ticket. Now I am trying to find how to book the seat without actually paying for it, but I didn_t get any clue. can some one help me please?

  • Go to a real travel agent and ask them to reserve a seat for you + print the reservation. They can _hold_ the reservation for a limited time without you having to pay for the ticket.

Note that you will need a _ real _ round-trip ticket to show the Immigration Officer when you enter the UK.

  • Okay, first of all are you planning on staying in the country illegally? Or are you going to leave within the required time period (usually 90 days without a visa and 6-12mths with one)?

You may be able to find an airline that offers round trips where you can move the return date with little or no fee. Or you can buy a return ticket separately and then adjust it or get a refund (make sure which ever airline you pick offers this).
  • What are the best cities in California to live in?|195329

My mom plans on moving to california with me an my younger brother. She wants to either rent a 3 bedroom apartment or 3 bed house for no more than $1500 a month. The area must have low crime incidents and higher education levels and low pollution. And somewhere pretty close to Los Angeles. I_d appreciate your answers.

  • Murrieta/temecula right now the prices are down and it_s a really nice area near wine country somewhat close to LA and san diego we have a lot of commuters that live here. It_s safe and great for families.

  • I would say Silver Lake, which is in Los Angeles. Silver Lake has a great education system and it_s crime rate is extremely low. Bad news is the average cost of a 1 bedroom is already over $1,300.

  • damnit somebody took compton..so ill be serious and say san diego if u have money. la jolla is a rely good area there by the zoo

  • compton
  • What is the cheapest way to get To California from Mississippi?|104878

It_s me and my Girl friends 2 year anniversary coming up, but shes about 3,000 miles away and I would love to be able to visit her before are 3ed anniversary. I don_t care how far away to leave date would be, but what would I be the best deal to travel across the us and back round trip? (bus or train, even a barge ship if that_s possible) We are really desperate to see each other at this point. Please help two people in true love get to meet. • Tell me a good place to live in the Northeastern United States?|146802

My husband and I are 27, college educated, possibly looking to start a new life somewhere. We like a little city action, but like the suburban/rural places too. I am a preschool teacher and he is in the radio broadcasting field.

  • Portland, ME or Burlington, VT

  • I agree with the Portland, ME suggestions. It is a wonderful town. BUT - Maine is consistently the most expensive state tax burden in the US. Portsmouth, NH, which is south of Portland about 1.5 hours, is also quite nice and NH doesn_t have near the tax burden.

  • Burlington VT is a great town.

  • Come and spend a few weeks. There are many many many places.

  • I understand that rhode island is nice or maybe boston

  • BURLINGTON,VT IS A NICE CITY
  • What local events are planned in February 2009 in the Greater Seattle area that would interest visitors?|195810

We have guests coming from Australia and we would like to show them local sights other than the usual Space Needle, Pike Place Market, the Ballard Locks, museums, Mt. Rainier, or Snoqualimie Falls. Looking for local events in western Washington State during the first part of February.

  • I think (this changes so I_m not sure check your calendar), the International District celebrates Chinese New Year and typically have festiviites going on down there. You can go for dim sum at House of Hong and walk around the International District visiting Uwajimaya.
I wonder if there is snow in Australia. You could take them innertubing at Snoqualmie - that is really fun!
