How can I be assisted to visit the United States from Nigeria even if I dont have a relative overthere?|134072

I love to see this land of opportunities and freedom called US but I want to know if there is any NGO overthere or other register groups who can asssists me legally and financially. I am married with two kids in Nigeria. Im an engineer by profession but low income earner

  • It may be difficulty for you to emigrate to the USA due to the corruption within your country. I know that many other Western countries are very wary of having dealings with Nigeria because of this and do not believe that it will be an easy task for you to gain entry... America has immense problems with 419 fraudulent scams and as a consequence individuals from your country tend to be scrutinised a little be more than would otherwise be the case...sorry...

  • I quite agree wth u on d issue of corruptn in my country perpatrated by leaders but if we ve 10 corrupt leaders in Nigeria, there are equivalent number in d US,Western nations who act as foreign collaborators. For example the deal btw Our Vice president and a Senator in the US by d name Jefferson.

  • Just keep on saving and when you have saved enough, contact me and I will help you. You don_t visit other countries just because you have relatives, if this was the case few people would be tourists.

  • I_m afraid that if such agencies existed, countries like the US would be bursting at the seams with economic migrants. You will not receive assistance to visit the US and I am interested as to why you think you should be given such assistance. You need to check online the US immigration rules. Perhaps if you are qualified in some field that the US needs, you would be allowed to work there, but Engineer.... doubtful.

  • I will put the money you require in your bank account, send me the details, will 1,000,000 be enough.
  • How can I start over in Atlanta?|133674

I would like to move to Atlanta from Wisconsin sooooooon, I know that I would have to start over in a new place but I don_t know how. I have a good work history and an associate_s in business and I am going for a degree in marketing. I just don_t know where to start with relocating. I was thinking of going to a shelter first and get help with them. My children would stay with family untill I at least find someplace and a job stable but I don_t know how to put this plan in motion because I don_t want to be away from my children, but I think that Atlanta is the place for me and my family.Do any one have any suggestions?

  • Atlanta is not a bad city. The traffic can be a nightmare, but the people are friendly, and the jobs are plentiful. I hats seeing people diss my city because they are jealous that they are stuck in an unhappy place. You don_t want to start off in a homeless shelter. When we had financial trouble some years back, we stayed in an extended stay hotel called the Hometown Lodge. It was only about 150 per week, and it was inclusive with your lights and water. You could work at Waffle House and pay for that while looking for more permanent work. Look at the websites listed above and call, but stay out of the homeless shelters! Hope it helps, and good luck!

  • i think you are going to get into a lot of trouble in atlanta. The jobs are hard to find that pay decent wages. The place is full of illegals and they got all of the jobs. only way you wil survive is if you have a skill that the average street person does not have then you may be able to get a job that will support you. it will be a long shot for you i_m sure.

  • most shelters in atlanta will not even take u unless u r an addict. they are mostly rehabs. if u have children, that makes it that much harder. in the shelters u have to be out by 6 am and back in by 5pm unless u have a note from ur manager or supervisor. it would be better if u and ur children could stay with family to get on ur feet. jobs are hard to come by cuz u got like 4 million ppl in atlanta and they are mostly illegals who will work for less that what u are willing to work for and the living costs are fairly expensive unless u wanna live in low income housing. thats no place to raise ur children. good luck on ur venture, i was thinkin of goin back too but then i remembered how hard it was when i was there. on the upside tho, they have trains and busses so its easier to get around if u did find a job. but i would look into some other places first.

  • People make up the complexion of a city, and this is what is so bizarre about Atlanta. It has a very sophomoric, low-brow social climate, and everyone oddly is exactly the same. There is intense geographic bigotry, the Atlantamatons don_t travel, and are very threatened by people from other places. I guarantee they will hate you for being a Northerner. It_s a town with a severe inferiority complex, so there is incessant, annoying boosterism. I lived there for over a year, and couldn_t wait to leave. It_s a no-character, no-personality town, and an absolutely a soul-destroying place to live.

  • Atlanta is the worst city in the country. Unfriendly, unhip, low-class, boring, and dangerous. Mercer rated it in _04 _The Worst Quality of Living in America_, in _05 _The Worst Quality of living in North America_, in _06 _The Second Worst Quality of Living in America_, (only because Houston moved down to the bottom). It is #2- #7 Most Dangerous City, depending on the list. It_s the city with absolutely no redeeming qualities. What would possibly make you think it_s the place for you and your family?
  • What is fun to do in Nashville, TN, or very close surrounding areas?|172545

We like amusement parks, water activities, shopping, and eating out! Not really into history or museums or zoos and things. Thanks!

  • If you don_t already have accommodation booked, The Opryland Hotel, is a great place to stay.
It_s the state_s largest hotel and is amazing.
There is a river with boat rides INSIDE.

    From their site:
Under majestic, climate-controlled glass atriums, you_ll be surrounded by nine acres of lush indoor gardens, winding rivers and pathways, and sparkling waterfalls where you can unwind, explore, shop, dine, and be entertained to your heart_s content.
Highlights include a 44-foot waterfall, laser-light and fountain shows, and tours aboard our Delta Flatboats - right inside the hotel.
You don_t have to leave the hotel!
The hotel is in a good location and if you are flying in, they also provide an airport shuttle.
