What kind of ticket should I buy for DisneyWorld?|182814

I will be going to Disneyworld next month. We are two adults, and want to visit The Magic Kingdom one day and EPCOT the next. What is the best type of ticket to buy? Also, is this a good time of year to visit? We will be there after the New Year.

  • If the only two parks you are going to do are Magic Kingdom and Epcot, then just buy a 2 day base ticket. It will allow you admission to one park per day. You can come and go as you please. After the New Year_s crowds empty out you won_t have any problem getting through the parks in a whole day.
    2 adults for 2 day Base Tickets = $312

A Park Hopper would only be required if you want to go from one park in the morning to another park in the afternoon. I am a huge fan of the Hopper, but I don_t recommend it if you only have 2 days to see the parks and are planning on Magic Kingdom and Epcot as the parks you want to see. If you want to do Animal Kingdom (1/2 day) and/or Hollywood Studios (1/2 day) then I would suggest the Hopper and doing both of those parks on the same day.
    2 adults for 2 day Hopper Tickets = $416

  • you should be able to do both parks in two day just make sure you get there early those parks does take up the whole to do and the type of ticket you need is a two day ticket you don_t nessarly need park hoppers because you are doin a park a day

  • it_s a pretty good time to visit, it still will be a little crowded, but most people leave disney right after new years. I would get a park hopper if I were you, because MGM and Animal Kingdom can be seen in about an hour. You can spend most of your time at Epcot and MK, but you can hop over and see Fantasmic (MGM) and Festival of the Lion King (Animal Kingdom). These two shows have been said to be worth the whole admission to one park.
    hope this helped :)

  • Disney Hollywood Studios (it hasn_t been called MGM for years) can not be done in an hour. Some of the shows are an hr or more in length. It takes us 1 1/2 days to do everything in DHS.

Same goes for AK. We hav neve been able to complete everything there in 1 day.

As for getting a 2 day park hopper; you can buy a 3 day ticket for almost the same price. I would not waste my money on a hopper unless I was staying for more than 4 days.

  • We stayed at the Imperial Palace for about $60 a night and it_s right in the Heart of the strip near all the big expensive hotels. The only problem with the Imperial Palace was it is old and the elevators are very slow. Wouldn_t suggest you eat there as there are better places at a good cost however everythilng else was fine.

  • What did the flagship GAP store at Market and Powell in San Francisco used to be?|136415

I must have walked past it a thousand times, and now I can_t remember what that store used to be. I keep thinking _Montgomery Ward_ but they went out of business ages ago, didn_t they?

  • Close but no cigar. It was formerly a two floor Woolworths, sadly they are now out of business also. That store had a huge candy counter that made amazing fudge.

Nothing smelled quite like a Woolworths store a combination of popcorn, gum, and leather soled shoes.

  • Ya. The Woolworths used to have a old diner inside too! I was pretty good!

  • Is there really good shopping in the garment district in nyc?|159428

And is it better to stay in Jersey and take the subway over? I_ve looked at some hotels in manhattan, they are a Little pricey.

  • Garment District is awesome and has great stuff and so does Jersey but you can_t really find all those stores in just one area + there are some great stores around the Garment District and you don_t have to travel like crazy, like you do in Jersey. Both are almost the same with the shops; no tax and almost the same stuff but I prefer you staying in New York.
  • What is there to do for enjoyment on Belle Isle on Friday Nights?|143944

What can you do on Friday Nights on Belle Isle in Detroit, Michigan on Friday Nights between the times of 7 PM and 2 AM?

  • Nothing after 10PM because the cops will not allow you on the island after that time. And if you can take the loud radios and teenagers walking around like they own the place you can sit by the water and see the river, Detroit and Windsor skylines.

You can do some fishing and BBQ_ing. You can relax on the grass with your special someone.

It is a great place to cool out on but you need to be gone by 10PM- the cops will come by and tell you to leave. If you are found on the island after that you will be ticketed and/or jailed.
