Best cities/areas to visit in California for a romantic weekend vacation?|177588

I am thinking about taking my boyfriend on a road trip up the coast. We live in San Diego so I want to head north for a few days. Some places I had in mind where San Fran, Catalina Island, San Simeon, San Luis Obispo. Anyone have any ideas? Oh and any worth wild places to check out, like I was thinking of going Hearst Castle, any other attractions we should stop for? Everyone is giving me a cities to visit but I need attractions too. I want to take him to special places we have never been before.

  • Santa Barbara?

  • Napa Valley in Northern Cali is really nice, and along the coastline in Northern Cal.

  • Hearst Castle is definitely worth the trip; it_s gorgeous, interesting, and full of history. Catalina is ok for a day trip, but i wouldn_t recommend staying overnight; it gets old fast. Santa Barbara is a popular romantic weekend destination; there is beautiful scenery, tons of shopping, and a zoo and art museum.. In San Fran, Fisherman_s Wharf is a wonderful place to visit. There are nice, romantic seafood restaurants with spectacular views of the harbor. There are many trolley car tours of the city to choose from as well. However, as popular as the trip to Alcatraz Island is, I found it quite boring...unless you like walking around an empty stone building with a headset...

hope this helped, and good luck with planning your romantic weekend!

  • Route 1 up to San Fran would be a great weekend. Don_t miss Monterey (the aquarium there is the best in the world) and Half Moon Bay. Great restaurant there called Moss Beach Distillery.
  • Is there any other place to see in Las Vegas beside the strip?|124112

I_ve been to Vegas couple of times, and in about two weeks, we are planing to go back there. Is there any other place to see in Las Vegas beside the strip?

  • Downtown Las Vegas has a lot of casinos and the Fremont Street Experience light show, produced on a metal canopy stretching five blocks along the top of Fremont Street. BTW, the Strip isn_t in Las Vegas. It_s in Winchester and Paradise, Nevada. There_s the Hoover Dam. 45 minutes north of the Las Vegas area is Overton, home of the Los City Museum where they have re-created the cave dwellings of the Anasazi who lived here before the current tribes of Native Americans. South of the city on the Boulder Highway is the County Heritage Museum. Further south, at the Railroad Pass Casino, you can board a train for a short trip to Boulder City and the Railroad Museum there. You can take a motor trip to Grand Canyon in Arizona. If you do, make the side trip to Winslow and see Meteor Crater, the crater produced by a metor strike millions of years ago. I don_t know if it is too late in the year, but you might want to take a trip on Lake Mead on board the paddle-wheel steamer the Desert Queen. Three hour tour with a brunch included.
Last, but not least, is a new museum east of the Strip on Flamingo Road near the University. It_s the Atomic Testing Museum and is dedicated to telling the story of the brave and dedicated people who carried out testing of atomic weapons northeast of Las Vegas years ago.

  • Hoover Dam
    Freemont Street
    Grand Canyon

  • Yeah there_s this place outside of the strip. It_s called Red Rock Casino and I guess you can say it_s pretty new. I went there last month and wow..it was soo beautiful! There_s this attraction, like rock and it_s like a water fall but then the best thing is that fire comes out later and it_s awesome!
  • Where is the best place to watch the sunset and sunrise in Tumwater, Washington?|123422

I would really like to get some pictures. They need to be from public places too.

  • Try a hill.
  • What are some fun places to hang out for teenagers in willoughby?|104795

I just got my liscence and I don_t know where to go with my friends

  • Willoughby where?
If it is Ohio, I think they just recently changed the law that 16 year olds can_t have any friends in the car with them.

Also if it is Ohio there_s really not a lot of fun places to hang out, but I get your drift. The mall gets old fast. If it were me, I would get my friends to go Bowling. Now that it is smoke free it is really enjoyable to hang out there. You can bowl, play pool, or video games and the local drunks don_t seem to be there anymore since they can_t smoke.

Other than that, I think you are out of luck until the weather warms up. Have fun!

  • There Are no fun places here in willoughby.
You must be about 16 or 17, so the _hot spots_ that i see are in downtown willoughby. like arobica [cant spell] and theres like this hangout club a couple buildings down.
