What are some fun things for teenagers to do in Cincinnati?|161149

On vacation. Serious answers please. Me and my friend are going to Cincinnati for a dance competition and we are stay the next day to visit attractions. What fun things do you recommend. We are 14.

  • Not a lot dude, Your best bet, is right across the river in Newport, called Newport of the Levee. there is a mall, places to eat and watch movies and a cool aquarium.

  • Kings Island! Who doesn_t love Kings Island? It has some of the best rides including:

-The world_s tallest gyro drop- Drop Tower at 315 ft. SCARIEST RIDE EVER
-The world_s tallest and fastest wooden roller coaster- Son of Beast at about 200+ feet and about 70+ mph
-The worlds longest wooden roller coaster- The Beast
-Firehawk- A flying roller coaster, makes you feel like you are flying
-Flight of Fear- Roller coaster inside a building: totally dark, but you can still see _some_ things.

But it can cost $45+ to get in depending on what time you decide to go. Normal hours are 10AM-10PM

  • Great Wolf Lodge indoor water park
    Cincinnati Reds game
Bengals Game (not sure when you are coming to town)
    The Newport Aquarium

LOL- Kings Island would take you all day in its own right though, and you will love it if you like roller coasters and theme parks. Oh, and it has a massive waterpark included in its admission price as well.

  • Oh, Boy. Two more points for the same question.

Fire Museum 315 W. Court Downtown

  • Go see a Reds game. They have a great stadium.
  • How do I get from Penn Station in New York City to Johnson Park in Middlesex, New Jersey by train?|142522

How do I get from Penn Station in New York City to Johnson Park in Middlesex, New Jersey by train? How long will it take? How do I get from the train station to the park grounds (e.g. taxi)? Approximately how much will it cost in total including train fees and taxi fees as necessary?

  • Take the NJ Transit Northeast Corrider Line to New Brunswick station. Catch a cab out front to Johnson Park, which is also in New Bruns. A 10 minute cab ride. Watch out for the junkies bumming money near Dunkin Doughnuts.
  • Is planet hollywood a good choice for a vegas trip?|127436

my friends and i are planning a vegas trip and we were thinking about planet hollywood for a place to stay. any thoughts?

  • Very nice hotel and casino. Great location .. right in the middle of the strip. Can_t go wrong that is for sure. The Hard Rock is far off the strip and you can_t walk anywhere.

  • You could also try staying at Bally_s (usually a bit cheaper in room prices) and it_s only two hotels north of Planet Hollywood. That is the happening spot though. Most of the partying hotels are within walking distance so you can_t go wrong staying in that area.

  • The PH(Planet Hollywood) is a great place to stay. It_s located on the strip North of MGM and next to Paris. PH and Paris is a happening place for anyone in their 20_s and 30_s. Compare rates at PH and Paris. Both are good.

You won_t go wrong choosing PH.

Check out this site for offer codes for when you are going.

  • I_d stay there in a split second. Location, location, location!!!! Their buffet isn_t too shabby either. I_d also stay at the Paris.

  • PH is nice but can be expensive. In order to save some money check the Planet Hollywood Promotion Codes on

  • this is one of my favorite casinos and hotel good choice

  • Yep - nice hotel, good location on the strip.

  • Hard Rock Hotel !!!!!!!!!

  • Yeah it_s pretty nice. Big time partying too.
  • What are the typical weather related natural disasters for the Winston-Salem of north Carolina?|189528

I am considering relocating to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and i would like to know what sort of natural disasters are common for this area? (I.E. floods, fires, tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes, etc..) I_ve never lived anywhere but CA, so I am unfamiliar with other weather conditions and climates, and would appreciate personal comments from people who actually live in or have knowledge of this area. Thank you so much!

  • It_s very un-California like there. Geographically the city and surrounding area is transitional, going from piedmont east of Winston Salem to mountains north and west of the city.
You won_t find mudslides, large out of control forest fires or earthquakes. Tornados are quite rare and hurricanes have passed through but in a greatly weakened state that creates relatively minor damage. The only relatively routine _disaster_ are winter ice storms. Winston Salem is in a _belt_ that runs across the northern part of the state that is more prone to ice than snow during the winter. About once every few years there_s one that wreaks havoc in terms of power outages, etc which can last a couple of days in some areas. All in all, you_ve picked a great place to live, and it_ll be a nice change to not have the worries of California disasters to think about.
    Good luck!

  • The above poster is correct..the occasional ice storm and some thunder storms are about it for Winston and surrounding areas. Not a bad place to live. We relocated to NC from CA several years ago. Best of luck to you.
