How can I get on the subway while staying at LaGuardia?|135759

So I_m staying at a hotel in Laguardia and I was curious on a few things. We_ve got a car and we_ve booked a parking garage in the Laguardia area for the two nights but the biggest question is from our hotel, where or how can we get on the subway. Looks like it will be the Crowne Plaza Hotel (Hotwire) we_ll be staying at. I_d appreciate any help on this! Thanks!

  • You don_t need to go all the way back to Flushing to get the subway, its the wrong direction. Ask the desk people at your hotel for the bus (I think it was the Q47 but its been a while) to 74th st,/Roosevelt Avenue. There you will find the 7,E,F,G and V trains to anywhere worth going to.

  • You can take the Q48 at Ditmars Blvd (ask the concierge) and take it towards Flushing. Get off at Roosevelt Ave (ask the bus driver to drop you at the stop closest to the subway)

There is a subway at 111 Street and Roosevelt.

Your other option is to take the bus to the last stop (Main Street Flushing) where you can take the subway (7 train) to Manhattan.

  • you need bus to subway station, Q33, Q30, buy a metro card $7, you can ride all day, parking is very expensive.
  • What is the best way for finding a hospitality job in Santa Monica, LA? How fast I can find it?|144911

I_m thinking about moving to California for summer and looking for some hotel jobs, like a houseman, server, helper, room attendant, etc. I_m in New York right now and I cant find any job in hotels here. So I_m thinking about LA like summer destination and maybe hotels there needs some extra staff? What do you think? Thank you very much for your advises!

  • Good luck! Unemployment is still rising here. Check careerbuilder.com, monster.com, and craigslist.com.

  • If you want a hospitality job, your best bet is to go through the hotels websites directly. Look up a bunch of hotels in LA. Call them, apply to them, walk in. Unemployment is awful there, so you will have to try very hard! I find that monster and hotjobs only have internet spam jobs.

  • you probably wont find anything here. Los angeles unemployment is 15 percent.
  • Where are good places to fish in Arizona?|135090

I am planning to take my family fishing and i would like to know where some good lakes are in Arizona...somewhere pretty and where the fish bite!!! THX!

  • There might be more, but I do know of two. One is up in the Show Low/Pine Top area. We used to drive by the lake, which I believe was man made, on the way to Pine Top. It_s a gradual uphill drive from the valley and is very scenic. And the air, clean and pure, among the
pine trees. The area has become very popular over the years and many homes have been built for a getaway from summers_ heat.
I have been to Apache Lake, and it is stocked with the strangest
sucking fish. We went swimming there and these fish come up and
suck on your legs. It really is creepy. They come up to the surface
and you can see them. I_ve never seen that type before. You can
rent fishing boats at the marina there where they have a restaurant
    and supplies.

  • Depends on how far you want to go, I really enjoyed Lake Powell up north by Page, Lake Pleasant locally and Patagonia Lake down past Tucson. All are gorgeous and thriving with fish!

  • I chartered a boat on Lake Havasu. Caught a ton of stripers (striped bass).
