What beach in the Santa Cruz area can you have a bonfire legally and stay overnight?|187916

What beach in the Santa Cruz area can you have a bonfire legally and stay overnight?

  • State beaches technically have a curfew of 10PM.
Link list camping in the Monterey Bay.
Seacliff State Park has RV campsites just off the sand. You may have a campfire and stay the night in one of the spaces.
  • Any Florida residence that can tell me the best time to visit?|198428

My family and I are planning a trip to Orlando next year, around September October, and we are trying to find out when the crowds aren_t so hefty. We will be traveling with 2 small children and anyone out there with children know that kids don_t do well when the have to wait 3 hours to get on 1 ride. Thanks ahead of time to all who answer.

  • February, End of September, Early October. These are the best times to visit b/c (1) Less crowded and (2) Weather is nice. I know from experience b/c I have been going to Disney for many many years now. I have the seasons pass to Disney so I can go any time of year that I want...but I still go those times b/c all the other months there are way too many people and it is also too hot. You can sometimes get away with going at the beginning of December right after THanksgiving but before Hannakah and Christmas.
Also, you can use your tickets to put into the fast pass machine. If you_ve never used fast pass, it is a machine that gives you a ticket to go on a certain ride at a certain time.

Example....lets say you want to take the kids on Snow White and Peter Pan....Get a fast pass for Peter Pan, it will tell you the time to come back to Peter Pan. In the meanwhile you can go on Snow White and then come back to Peter Pan with the fass pass and have less wait time to get on the ride. You don_t wait in the regular line if you have a fast pass.

  • From working over a year in tickets at a theme park id have to say early-mid june. the parks are open extended hours, the good kids in florida schools are working (the rest are in summer school) and the rest of the nations schools have not let out yet.

  • Beginning or end of November are nice, beginning of December, beginning of January and last 3 weeks of Sept are all _quiet_ meaning not a lot of lines at the Disney parks, not a lot of children but still the same great service.

  • if your looking between those two months I would go for late september early october too. Also, go during the week.
That way your safer (in both cases) that kids are in school so theres less of a crowd.

  • September and October are the best times to visit. This is the time that the kids are back in school and the parks are less crowded.

  • The week after Labor Day is usually pretty slow. Although it is still a little crowded at the theme parks but you can ride the rides on and off pretty quickly.

Usually Orlando doesn_t have any downtime. A lot of people more often think in the same wavelength.. so during the slow months, it could be busy also.

Since you_re planning your vacation around Sept or Oct, you_re off to a good start. There aren_t anything much going on September but Disney has Halloween party every October.

  • in sectember belive me its the best!

  • If you have children, the absolute best time is actually late September/ Early October. The Weather is still awesome and the because everybody has just started school the crowds are very low... Enjoy!

  • january through febuary
come to central florida best time to come

  • January - Feb and Sept - October

These are wonderful times to visit!

  • I work in one of the theme parks and the best advice I can give you is to come after Labor Day but before October. Unless you_re really into Halloween, October is pretty much a continuous Halloween party at the parks, attracting alot of locals. If you come in the last couple of weeks of September, the parks are usually slower. It will still be hot (depending on where you_re coming from and what you_re used to) but it_s not too bad.

If I could tell people to come any time I would say January/February. It_s not hot and it_s very slow. Hope you have fun!

  • in the fall when kids are in the school and parents work. because on the winter and summer breaks it is packed with people
  • What is the closest hotel to Gwinnett center arena in Duluth,Ga?I want to be able to walk from hotel to arena?|197068

I am taking my daughter to concert and donot have a car.Thank you inadvance.

  • Since you are traveling with your daughter and want to walk, I would recommend the Holiday Inn. It is an easy walk. The others that are suggested are across a divided highway.

Also, there is a good Irish restaurant near the Holiday Inn - The Loafing Leprechaun. Here is the link to the website: www.loafingleprechaun.com

  • Hey! I_m going to the American Idol concert later this month _ am staying at the Holiday Inn. The reservation guy told me it_s about a 2-minute walk! Thought you might like to know.

  • What are the benefits of using a travel agency to plan your trips?|153243

i_d like to know why do travel agencies get better prices with airlines and hotels, how much can you save with them?

  • sorry to disagree, but my daughter was (and still is in a different way) in the travel industry and she always plans and books our trips herself. I can_t imagine anyone getting better deals than we do! She DOES NOT get discounts or any special treatment.... She researches and rechecks her sites constantly.... as an example, after getting our 4 plane fares with frequent flier miles, our 10 day trip FOR 4 to Oahu, including rental car, 2 bedroom with full kitchen and pool hotel a block away from Waikiki Beach, admissions, food and souvenirs cost a TOTAL of...... $1600- remember that was for TEN days for FOUR!!!! We have spent 2 weeks in England for an unbelievable amount also and our trips to Disney World are super cheap. A lot of the fun (for us) is in the planning and researching AND finding the bargains and coupons, etc. Have fun wherever you go and however you get there!

  • I use travel agents,so that I have someone to blame when things go wrong.

Also my local agent books all my flights and holidays,I have checked and cannot find cheaper even on the net, so i know that they are looking after me.
  • What is the cheapest way to get to Alaska from Indiana?|163462

    Hello,
My sister has recently moved to Soldotna Alaska with her family and I would like to visit her during my winter break. I_ve been looking at airfare and it_s over $600. Is there a cheaper way to get there? (besides hitch hiking) I_ve been looking at busses but I can_t find one that will take me up to Anchorage?

  • Air travel is your only real option, especially in the winter. There are no railroads between Alaska and Canada and there is no regular scheduled bus service. Everything, including people, comes and goes by airplane or ship.

  • Even though the airfare seems expensive, if you were to compare the price to driving, counting the multiple days of travel it seems more reasonable.

It is a couple thousand miles to Soldotna from the midwest. Airfare really is your best choice.
