  • What _Joe C_ tells is just not true; some Americans seem to like to exaggerate on this issue.
Fact is that you cannot apply for a visa waived stay if you should have been arrested or convicted for an offense or crime involving moral turpitude or a violation related to controlled substance; or you should have been arrested or convicted for two or more offenses for which the aggregate sentence to confinement was five years or more; or you should have been a controlled substance trafficker; or you are seeking entry to engage in criminal or unmoral activities.
The definition is also provided by U.S. DHS:
Some examples of crimes involving moral turpitude include, but are not limited to, murder, rape, sexual offenses, crimes against children, prostitution, robbery, theft, fraud and crimes of violence.

  • Since November 17, 2008, Slovaks may travel to the United States on the Visa Waiver Program. To travel on the Visa Waiver Program, you will need a biometric passport, an electronic travel authorization (ESTA
    https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta)
and your trip must be 90 days or less. ESTA costs nothing - there is no benefit to using websites that charge for information about ESTA, or having anyone apply for ESTA for you. The ESTA application Web site is available in 21 languages and includes a help section that provides additional information for VWP travelers to guide them through the application process.

  • The (VWP) Visa Waiver Program lets those from the following 35 counties to enter the United States up to a period of 90 (ninety) days without getting a visa.

Andorra, Iceland, Norway, Australia, Ireland, Portugal, Austria, Italy, San Marino, Belgium, Japan, Singapore, Brunei, Latvia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Liechtenstein, Slovenia, Denmark, Lithuania, South Korea, Estonia, Luxembourg, Spain, Finland, Malta, Sweden, France, Monaco, Switzerland, Germany, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, Hungary and New Zealand.

Please note that not all travelers from VWP countries are eligible to use the program. VWP travelers are required to apply for authorization though the (ESTA) Electronic System for Travel Authorization.

When applying, plan to do it at least three days (or 72 hours) and more if you plan to travel in a busy season where everyone will be applying with yourself as well.

Once in the USA, keep a track of your time so you can file for an extension which must be permitted by from DHSs United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

    Best of luck,

    Steve

  • In addition to what Deepak stated I_ll add this caveat, if you have been arrested, even if you were not convicted, a visa is required. In this case the VWP does not apply.
  • What is the best way to get around Dallas/Fort Worth from DFW airport and things to do?|179959

I am going to be at and around the DFW airport on a Saturday till around 5. What is the best/cheapest/quickest way to get around the Dallas or Ft. Worth area? What are the best things to checkout while in the area?

  • Rent a car. Car rental from DFW on the weekends is dirt cheap. I reccommend National because you can pick your own car.

EDIT: I found a website with guidelines for under 25 car rental.

  • Fort Worth is 30 miles west of Dallas. There are attractions in Arlington and Grand Praiie area. Timeing would be a big concern as traffic can slow or stall. There should be traveler brochures of attractions near the car rental or any hotel lobby.

  • You can take DART rail it is real cheap.

Here is all the info you need and have fun.

  • Dart rail _ bus system;should be visitors info leaflets at airport telling what may be of interest to visit.
  • Can My wife give her driving test in Texas using my Employers Car issued on my name?|177177

My car is insured and registered in Dallas TX under the name of my employer.

The employer have given me this car to drive and I have a letter stating this.

Can my wife give her Texas (Behind The Wheel) driving test on this car? What I can do that my wife can give her driving test in Texas using this car?

  • They don_t care who the car belongs to as long as it_s insured. She won_t have a problem

  • They don_t care who holds the insurance, the car must be insured to use for the test.
The car would not be in her name since she can_t drive.
The DPS officer checks the paper work and then you drive around for a few minutes.

  • yea it shouldnt be a problem. She cant have a car in her name right now anyways bc she doesnt have license. They SHOULD only ask to see that they car is insured. Hope all goes well....
  • What is the smallest and the highest shelter rent of all kinds in Manhattan NYC? In Brooklyn?|189697

I wanted to know from the lowest such as a studio to the highest lets say 2 bedroom manhattan apartment.

    Also the same for Brooklyn?

  • There_s no way to get an absolute answer to this, but you could get some data by finding the highest and lowest rents listed on Craigslist.

  • A studio apartment in Manhattan, my friend, on the avarge ranges anywhere from $800 to $900. In Brooklyn is between $700 to $800 or more, depending on the landlord.

    Good luck

  • not sure
