I will be walking the USA coast to coast. How can I get sponsors to help fund my trip?|145240

I have some money saved up(about $1700), but I know I will need some sponsorship. I plan on starting in Maine in July and head toward New York, then go southwest for winter before heading west for California. I am also thinking about charities to collect money for, too. I am 20 years old.

Find a charity, CF, MS, Komen B C R, or something else, and they resubmit this question with a link to the charities website where people (like me) can donate/contribute.

When you talk to national sponsors such as the ones noted already, tell them you are willing to talk to media along the way and give them good press... that usually butters them up quite a bit.

Then, contact national sponsers, like Kohl_s, KMart, Circut City, et cetera. Tell them you will be wearing a shirt with their logo, and GOOD LUCK!

Why don_t you want anyone to know you_re barefoot? Some people don_t like it but it_s not illegal or gross to go barefoot, even in stores and even when you_re driving. Stand up for yourself and don_t care so much what other people will say or think, just go barefoot and who cares who sees you!

If you really don_t want that, you could try barefoot sandals, they_re like a strap that covers the top of your foot and leaves the bottom bare. Most designs are girly but you can easily make your own from a strap of leather, all it is is really a figure-8 around your ankle and second toe, attach the two straps at the right place near the toe and you_re done.

I don_t understand the problem. Just go barefoot. Many people go around barefoot all the time. Its more comfortable than wearing shoes, its relaxing and healthy and good for your feet to be without shoes. Dont worry what others might think. most of the people are ignorant of the laws regarding bare feet. It is not illegal to drive barefoot and no state has any health department regulations regarding footware in places. Just do it.

My husband has gotten a job with the territory of Colorado, Wyoming and Utah so we will be moving to the area soon. We can pick where to live close to the Denver airport but know very little about the area. We have 2 young teens and a 3rd grader and we are moving from Tulsa, OK. We don_t want to be in Denver but more of a small town suburb. Any suggestions?

To be within 30 minutes of the Denver Airport you would need to live on the east side of Denver which is flat as a pancake and is a big city urban environment. Aurora is the primary suburb on that side of the metro area and is a high crime area to say the least. You might try Parker or Brighton as possible suburbs fitting some of what you are looking for.

Well there are small neighborhoods, part of the city out there, like greenwood village, but the airport is the only thing they are close too. They are far and almost isolated from the rest of the city. But they are only about 10 minutes from the airport which is what you wanted so check them out.

You would have better choices 45min. to an hour from the airport. Golden, Boulder, Highlands Ranch, Castle Rock to name a few.
I live in Castle Rock just south of Denver, Takes me 50 Min. to get to the airport.

You can get an efficiency for about $800. A contel/condtel (hotel room that has a kitchenette) for around $700, but your best bet is roommates. My neighbors are college students they live in a 3 bed room, 2 bath condo for $3200 monthly(guessing on their rent), which is a _luxury_ high-rise.

its gonna be expensive and the schools are NOT at all exceptional. for instance, look at the primary and middle schools, some of the worst education inthe country.

Things are pretty chaotic right now and you can bargain with your landlord. A friend of my just had his rent reduced by $200 per month (he_d told the landlord he was moving because he couldn_t afford the apartment any longer)

cheap apartments are like 900 or 800 a month..you_ll be luck if you find one that cost 700 a month, and that_s for 1 bedroom apartments. do yourself a favor, and just stay where you are right now,, because if you are worrying about money, you have no business being here in hawaii..only rich people like me can live here comfortably
