What is the cheapest way to get from George Bush Intl Airport to Downtown Houston?|193804

Im travelling into IAH on saturday and want to know whats the cheapest way to get to our hotel in Downtown Houston. There are 5 of us. Any ideas?

  • Dang... George Bush has an airport named after him? Anyway, try these walking directions from Google. It_s only 17.3 miles.

  • Cheapest would be walking of course.
    Then bus.
Then light rail. (Doesn_t go directly to IAH, so you would have to bus it, then light rail).
    Then taxi.
    So on, and so forth.

  • Supershuttle is the best value. 800-BLUE-VAN.

  • Check to see if your hotel has a complimentary bus from the airport.

  • walking is the cheapest

  • walking

  • How much will you offer? I have a truck.

  • a taxi

  • walking would be free.
  • How to get wine drink coupons in Napa and Sonoma?|167141

Does anyone know where I can get free tasting coupons for Napa and Sonoma? Also for Russian River Valley.

    Thanks!

  • I_m not sure if they still have them, but the Napa Visitor_s Center sold wine tasting coupon books. Supposedly each taste at any of the listed places was only 10 cents. Our adult kids used them, and every single time the tasting room waved the dime for us. You might want to look into Visitors Centers in all those areas you_re looking at.
  • Minimum age to reserve a room at the Tropicana?|172487

I_m going to Vegas next month and I was planning to stay at the Tropicana, but I_ve read conflicting things on several websites, do you have to be 21 to reserve a room or not? Because I_ve heard 18 and 21. Does anyone know? And are their any other hotels that I could stay at since I_m only 19?

  • The 21 rule only applies to gambling and drinking. The legal age for everything else is 18. If you look at their reservation page it does not state any age restrictions therefore and adult is 18 and over. As long as you have an ID and credit card you should be fine. Pay in advance and they will only briefly look at your ID to compare it to the credit card.

  • Well, when I was in Vegas 5 years ago, and I don_t think they_ve changed the check in rules that much, it_s 21 to reserve a room there. Atleast it was that age at the New York New York. Since you have to be 21 there to gamble anyway. I know that for a fact since it was posted at the lobby check in when we arrived. If you are under 21 you need to be with someone, probably a parent or guardian, to be at the hotel and be a guest. I don_t believe there are any hotels, atleast on the strip, that you can reserve a room if you are under 21.

Check for hotels off the strip to see if you need to be 21 to reserve them. Yes you may need to take a cab to get onto the strip and that can get pricey if you are planning on spending every night on there.

  • 21 in Las Vegas. They will ask for ID.
