Where is a good place to view the Niagara Falls fireworks from the US side?|174402

My family (two adults and four children from 19m to 10y) are planning to be in Buffalo December 31st. We would like to see the fireworks but don_t know a good location that won_t require an expensive reservation. Does anyone have a recommendation for a place with a good view that is child-appropriate and won_t cost more than $100 for us (i.e., a restaurant)? Thank you.

  • How do I get directions to the beach?|158836

I typed Huntington Beach, but I only got restaurants and stores in that city instead of getting the beach itself...

I know how to get there, but I don_t know the street names, and I need to send out the directions. I want to avoid confusion by letting them know the actual street names they need to be on...

All I know is take the 405 South, exit Beach, turn left, then turn right and go all the way down.

What should I be typing to get directions to the actual beach?

  • How about _Huntington Beach Pier?_ That_ll get you in the water.

    Huntington Beach Pier?
    401 Pacific Coast Hwy
    Huntington Beach, CA 92648

  • You don_t just type in locations and hope to get directions. You have to use a map system. Use GOOGLE MAPS or YAHOO MAPS.

Just search for either of those then type in your starting location and your final location and it will give you a street by street map.

  • Yup, you got it right. From the 405, Beach Blvd. goes straight to the beach.

  • What are the most affordable cities to live in the US?|157122

    Hi there,
I_m a 26 years old European and would like to relocate in the US next year. Can u tell me what places in the US are nice to live in (cities or surrounding areas) and are affordable?

  • If your thinking N.Y. you could live in the Hudson Valley about 90 minutes from the city 1 bedroom/start $900/a month nice safe as long as you stay away from Poughkepsie but you would need a car no trans. to get around, stores are miles away from people. You could take the train to work in the city but again you need a car. To get to the train gas is $4.30/a gallon. I don_t think there is a place in the U.S. to live unless you are established everything is expensive and bound to get worse if Obama is elected check out his economic policy he has it will bury the working class, if your coming to get a hand out well then his policy works for illegal aliens and welfare maggots. If your buying homes go for $400,000.00 to start.

  • Here is a chart that lists cost of living of some US cities, as a % of the US average:

Indianapolis isn_t on the list, but I think it_s about 97. You can find a 3-bedroom house here for around $150,000.
  • Where is the safest place to live in florida?|108113

I am thinking of relocating eventually, don_t like the cold winters in new england and liked florida a lot. Is the west coast safer than the east coast, less populated?

  • Coral Springs

  • California. Florida is flat and full of leather skinned retirees.California is mountainous with vast ,sparsely populated stretches of beautiful coastline above San Francisco.Come here if you want to be happy.Everything north of Cal. is also geologically beautiful but more gloomy, rainy weather.I have been here for fifty years plus seen the world and know of what I speak. One really bad quake every hundred years or so is all that you need to fear if you need to fear.

  • It is pretty populated everywhere down there. My brother lives close to Orlando. He has lost power a couple of times due to hurricanes but no major damage. If you are on the coast of course you run the risk of the full brunt. I would say the gulf side would be safer but sometimes they curl around and come right up in there.

  • Florida is losing alot of jobs due to the high prices of houses and land. Construction has definitely _went south._ Its a nice place to visit but I have lived here for two years now and am moving to VA soon. If you do plan on heading this way, Gainesville and West Palm still the growing areas of FL.

  • The south - central areas are the safest as far as storms are concerned. Also warmer Winters, south of the I 4 divider. Both coasts are crowded with the Gulf my favorite. Employment is pretty good here, too.

  • I hear that ppl are leaving FLA cause it_s getting to costly to live anymore....I guess if you want a hurricane every year anywhere is the best place to live in FLA

  • Disneyland

  • Tampa area

  • England (UK).
