I_d absolutely LOVE to move over there from the UK. It_s like a dream.

And i_ve been researching but i_m confused.

Do they only let people in who have degrees?
I know it_s a long process - but how long?
Do you have to apply in the green card lottery? My country isn_t allowed for another 5 years or so?!
Do i have to have a job first? A _good_ job?

It_s so confusing.

Honey, if all the Mexicans have to do is jump a fence or swim across a river, then you definitely can do it. You don_t exactly have to have a top of the line job, just be prepared to know a ton of information about how our country works and its history. And with the internet, it_s so easy to do this research. :)

It is very difficult to do either way. I hate to discourage anyone from following their dreams, but since this particular dream is sooo vey difficult to fullfill, I would encourage you to examine the reasons you want to make this change, and see what others things you can do to meet your goals in life.

Are you going fishing? Start in Raleigh, go to Kitty Hawk by way of Wilson - stop at Bill_s Barbecue - THE most authentic southern barbecue and trimmings in existence.
If you are going to the mountains - just go to Asheville and follow your nose - think _Deliverance_ -- money - just bring an ATM card, Gas Card, and, about 200 in cash in ones and fives for tips. Why go to a mall? Ever!

I know quite a few relatives of mine who live in North Carolina, and when my relatives from other states visit, they probably bring around $150-$300. (Remember, you need money for gas if you_re driving, and you might want to have extra money just in case.)

I_m guessing you are going to the beach? Are you going to myrtle beach (which is in SC) or wilmington?

It depends on how much you want to buy, i live at the beach in NC and the water parks can get kind of expensive, so just come prepared.

Is it possible to rent a hotel near Six Flags when everyone is of age 18?|148339

A couple of friends and I are heading to Six Flags for the weekend, and we_re trying to rent hotels/motels/inns in the area to stay overnight. Are there any places in the area that would let 18 year old stay?

I would try calling like a red roof inn or something like that. Some hole in the wall place. You aren_t going to get a 4 star hotel because most of them have mini-bars and it_s too much of a pain in the ars to make sure that you don_t open the mini-bar, make sure you don_t order alcohol through room service, or at the bar itself. Go with the like, at max, 80 room properties. Don_t book through Hotels.com like the idiot above me said. The hotel has every right to refuse you when you_re trying to check in. You won_t be charged for the room (more than likely) but you can be. Also, you_ll be in the same situation you are now.... stuck with nowhere to go. :-p

The newest and hottest Vegas clubs:

XS - At Encore, absolutely amazing. I recommend industry night; Mondays.
The Rose - At Mandalay Bay, opens in a couple weeks.

But the ones everybody is excited about are these; opening December 31st 2009:
Haze at Aria
Vanity at Hard Rock
Eve at City Center

The palms is amazing, they have some of the best restraunts and they have the playboy club which is real popular

The venition is so cool there are some of the best clubs and restaurants.

Red Rock which is off the strip has a nice club called cherry and they have a great sushi place and italian.

Mandalay Bay has Rum Jungle, which is a really neat club in THE hotel there is mix.

Basicly all the hotels now have clubs so just roam around and look on each hotels sites.

I would avoid the Hard Rock its very crowded and is extremely small so its pretty annoying.

The hottest club right now is XS in Encore. That place is huge and still manages to get overcrowded quite often. If you_re looking to go here, be prepared to pay for a table to enjoy it or else you_ll find yourself rubbing your body against total strangers everywhere you go!

Vegas, by definition, is the place to go clubbing. theres no specific place. You just bar hop till you find yourself somewhere you enjoy best

I was wanting to fly from tallahasse, fl to Maryland and stay for a weekend and fly back. How much do you think that would cost? It would probably be just me.

There_s a really wide range of answers to that question - are you looking to fly first class and stay at a high end hotel in the Inner Harbor in Baltimore during a prime weekend with the Yankees or Ravens in town, or are you looking to fly on Southwest on off peak days, and stay at an Econolodge in a rural town on the Eastern Shore? These things are different by a factor of 10.

Assuming a _normal_ trip to a non-boring location, I_d budget around $300 for a plane ticket, $100/nt for 2 nights hotel, $100 for a rental car and gas, $50/day for 3 days meals, and another $150 for incidentals. Call it $900.
