What are benefits like in Washington state?|167570

We live in Florida and have a 1-year-old, so we_ve been receiving WIC, food stamps, and Medicaid. We_re relocating to Bellingham, WA in a couple of months, so I wanted to know what the benefits are like there for a family of 3.

I am not even sure the application process is the same from state to state, so any info at all would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • My family_s a family of 4, my sister and I received medicaid, my parents got full benefits from the employers, even though they started at minimum wage (Washington has the highest minimum wage in the country by the way, $8.07 per hour) so they got it through their jobs.

We did receive food stamps, can_t remember the amount but it was a good amount from what I remember.

And we also around a hundred dollars knocked off our rent for a period of time.

So I_d say they_re pretty good.
  • How long is it from Miami to Jacksonville?|165479

Ok so im going to a concert in jacksonville to see Dragonforce. But my mom wants to know when we_ll be back. Me and my friend are planning on leaving the concert at 10-ish. So please help me how long will it take? (Taking the Turnpike)

  • First off, why take the Turnpike? I-95 is a straight shot and there are no tolls.

Figure around 30-45 minutes to get from the concert venue (depending on which one - I_m assuming Jax Memorial Auditorium?) onto I-95. By then, traffic shouldn_t be an issue, so probably 3.5-4 hours should get you the roughly 300 miles back to the Miami area.

  • I think it about 10 hours because from miami to gainsville is about 7 or 8 and from gainsville to jacksonville is about 2 hours.

  • Check mapquest, but it looks like about a 5 hour drive one way that_s without any stops. You should stop every two hours to stretch your legs, etc. It_s about 345 miles one way.

  • I WOULD SAT ABOUT 5 HOURS :- B
  • When is the best time to visit USA?|185424

We are planning to visit Disneyland in Florida? What other places can you suggest? We are family of four (w/ a 4 and a 8 years old kids)

  • July and August are THE hottest months, and the lines are longest. If schools is not too much of an issue, I_d say go at the beginning of May through early June. The weather is perfect, and not too many tourists are around yet.

Budget friendly: The beaches in Orlando, FL are always fun for kids. There are also some places you can go where the kids can swim with manatees! Its really fun and quite safe.

Not-so-budget friendly: Universal Studios or Seaworld.

  • I would suggest that you visit in the spring or the early fall. If the summer you may get too hot with the children. I would suggest that you also visit the Smoky Mountains and the Gatlinburg area, the Nashville Tennessee area and for political reasons the Washington D.C. area. New York would also be a good place to see the Statue of Liberty, and ground Zero where the towers fell. Our country has so many beautiful areas that are vast and diverse. Utah and Arizona are beautiful as are California and states in between. I have been to almost all the states and found something beautiful and interesting in each and every one.I hope that you have an exciting but safe trip and let us know how you like our country

  • obviously youll never be able to see everything no mattwe how long your in the states. Small tip though, DisneyLAND is in california, DisneyWORLD is in Florida. The time of year you visit depends on what other activities you want to do. Skiing, Snowboarding, etc obviously come in winter. you can still visit Disney during winter because of the location, its warm where either are. I suggest Washington DC if your in to history. Dinsey though can take up a lot of time easy.

  • well it depends on which state, and theres the north and south, if your going to visit the north side i would choose summer but if your visiting the south i would choose spring. I live in Texas and I visit Oregon and Washington every year so I would know.

  • Christmas time at Disneyland is great. Otherwise, anytime between October and March is best in my opinion. As for the U.S.A. in general, anytime is a good time. It depends on your interests and the time of year.

  • just be careful in florida, their have been alot of tourist being hurt in florida , stay out of the rough parts
