Where to stay in San Francisco if going to a Giants game and want a fun nightlife?|180274

My friends and I are flying into San Francisco pretty soon. We_re going to attend a Giants game and also looking for some fun nightlife. What areas should we be looking at for hotels that_s convenient to everything? We like the pubs/bars but will end up at a club from time to time. Any help would be appreciated.

Stay around Union Square; try to stay no more than one block south of Market Street.
