How much are you paying for gas, and what city and state are you paying it in?|173675

Yesterday, I was amazed to pay $3.60 for gas in Granite Falls, NC. There were cars everywhere trying to get that gas. Some other gas stations were charging $3.89 in Charlotte, NC.

  • $4.35 and thats _cheap_ in LA

it is supposed to jump up higher soon too.. which makes me want to cringe and cry!!

  • What is the best way to go about selling a Time Share?|171584

Unit is paid in full, is annual and is red time meaning can be used anytime during the year to anywhere.

  • Selling a timeshare can be a tricky thing to do because there are so many of them around today. Try some unconventional ways of advertising. Put a message in your signature file of your email. Everytime you send out an email you will be advertising your timeshare.
Now that winter is around the corner, it is a great time to advertise the sale of your timeshare. Snow birds and baby boomers are looking for great deals now. If you are in a state where winters are cold, print up some flyers and post them where you can. You should find someone who is interested.
If you do decide to go with one of the companies that sell timeshares, make sure to do your research on the company.
    Good luck...

  • Find someone looking to buy a timeshare

  • There are a lot of timeshares for sale on e-bay. Beware of people offering to sell it for you. It is not worth anywhere near what you paid for it. Probably around 10%. RCI was owned by Cendant which also owned Century 21 which might be the best bet. Otherwise, find someone you know who is interested. Good luck. There are a LOT of resales on the market and prices are nowhere near what the developer gets.

  • Not here.

  • What part of NYC is best to live in for a skyline view of the city? I was really looking at Brooklyn?|128889

I am looking at moving to NYC and was just wondering what areas are the best to have a skyline view of the city? I have been looking at Brooklyn, thats where my family is from. My rent range would be from 0-3000 a month.

  • There are some really awesome views from Long Island City...which is obviously in Queens, but a very short trip from Brooklyn.
In Brooklyn, there are some new buildings with views in Williamsburg -- likely to run you near the top of the cited rent range. Then, as others have mentioned, there_s the Brooklyn Heights promenade area, also expensive.
It really depends on why view is so important to you, exactly what you want a view of, and whether you really want to pay twice the rent in exchange for a better view. I_ve been in apartments on the southern end of Park Slope, miles inland into Brooklyn, with perfectly angled windows and unobstructed views of the Empire State Building and/or Statue of Liberty at a distance.

  • Roosevelt Island is also a good place to consider. The views are farther uptown (the UN, the 59th St Bridge, etc) but it_s very nice and quiet there too.

  • Excellent view from the other side of the Hudson -- Jersey City. Great new rentals and condos have gone up. Amazing views and prices are more reasonable than Brooklyn.

  • Anywhere close to the brooklyn promenade whick overlooks lower Manhattan.

I_m planning a trip down the cost and want to make a few stops for some waves. What are the best beaches to take in the day?

  • Pismo Beach! ^_^

Not crowded at all like LA beaches.

  • Where are you coming from?

Favorite surf spots include Rincon Point, Huntington Pier, Newport Jetty (The Wedge), Doheny Beach, Trestles, and Swami_s.
