What are good and affordable places to shop at in New York?|117342

My cousin and I are going to New York for July 4th. And I_ve been trying to find some cool and affordable places to shop. I_m looking for a prom dress (evening gown style) aswell. So If you know any prom dress shops please let me know!

  • Just for fun, I would go to Chinatown, that_s the Canal St. stop on the N R lines.
For a prom dress...if it is still open, you may find a formal gown on this store on 6th ave. by 56th-58th st. (west side of st.) It_s a nameless, constantly _going out of business store._ You would find something unique and glamorous, probably with rhinestones there.

  • H_M
    Century 21
    Forever 21
    Top Shop
    Macy_s

But check out department stores like Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdales, Henri Bendel...they might have some big 4th of July sales.

  • SoHo . Dont 4get to go to GROM after that !
  • Where should I go for summer vacation this year?|127854

I like to go swimming, go shopping, live in a place that_s hot but not too hot, and that_s inside the United States not including Alaska and Hawaii.
    Please reply by next Sunday!

  • If you regester for this in time my sugestion is Discovery Cove in Orlando Florida. You get to swim with a Dolphin and learn all about them and you can buy pictures and a DVD of your event.

They ONLY take 1000 people per day so regester soon if you want to go. Because it is part of Sea World, and Bush Gardens you can go to them all.
  • What is the best place to go skiing in the United States for a beginner family?|105010

We like to wine and dine so a quaint town would be great!!

  • for quaintness, new england cant be beat--especially vermont..there is nothing quaint about west coast ski resorts although the west has better snow conditions....with a good snowfall, however, vermont cant be beat...
smugglers notch is a popular family friendly ski resort and the area is very quaint complete with covered bridges, ben and jerry_s factory tours, maple syrup farms, etc...

  • Telluride is a pretty good place to learn.

First time skiers and snowboarders who take a lesson will be able to navigate beginner terrain by the end of their first day. The Three Day Beginner Adventure enables you to develop life-long skills and independence on the mountain. Telluride is home to Lift 10, which offers some of the most gentle beginner terrain in Colorado.
If you are a more experienced skier or boarder, the Telluride Ski _ Snowboard School offers a full range of exciting options. Take your sport to the next level and learn the secrets of the mountain with your instructor.

  • Snowmass, Buttermilk or Aspen. All are within the same general area and Snowmass has great skiing for a beginner family.
